Now, we know that many women have a passion for shoes and as we welcome the return of fabulous footwear designer Marta Jonsson to QVC TV tonight (September 25th) at 9pm, we thought we'd catch up with her to find out more about her footwear range and what inspires her designs…
Tell us about your shoe range
We have developed a wide collection of shoes and boots so there is something for everyone. From styles built with a sexy edge for the confident modern woman who needs comfort, to the younger urban woman who looks for fashion-forward pieces.
Can you tell us about any new designs you’ll be showcasing on QVC this season?
Our QVC styles are carefully selected to showcase the range of the MJ collection. We have lovely details like snake-embossed suede in winter colours, that were very successful during this summer in bright colours, and the essential pointed toe, which is a key shape this winter.
Key trends this autumn/winter are, of course, studding, which has been strong for the past few seasons, animal prints, Western influence and metal details. The pointy toe is still key, also platform and chunky heels influenced by the 70s and 90s.
Where do you draw your inspiration from?
My inspiration can come from various sources. Day-to-day life experiences definitely play an important role in this. It can come from something I have seen or someone I admire.
If you could be a shoe, which shoe would you be and why?
It would have to be a high heel stiletto court shoe with a perfect topline in a bright red patent leather, because it is outstanding and glamorous!
Don't miss Marta's show tonight on QVC at 9pm.
