Carry on Camping….. in Norfolk

My wife had to work covering holidays, and so with her at work for a whole week, I took a few days off from the Q and planned to take the kids camping in Norfolk. My wife thought it would be good if they has some mates so she invited two more kids to join me!

Off we went to Overstrand campsite on the Norfolk coast, about two mile south of Cromer. No Wi-fi, no caravans, no lights, no mobile signal, but a two-minute walk to the beach and the best bacon butties in the morning.

I have a carry on camping tent that is almost as old as me, and with the car loaded to the gunnels we all spent three hours in the car and got there for some good ‘ol fashioned fun.20160801_165139 20160803_080308

The weather was okay, and we got in the sea all day most of the time but it wasn’t exactly scorching and rained every night. Still we saw seals and did body boarding and the kids made great friends at the campsite and we had a super time.  In fact so much so that we have booked another weekend and and the kids have persuaded my wife to come with the two dogs….. and my wife does NOT camp!20160803_131033

I must get a wind break before we go!!
