Oh dear, I'm feeling a bit stiff this morning as I went to a step class yesterday!! I didn't know step classes were still around and having rejoined a gym in December I thought that once a month is better than nothing and so took myself along.
I used to do step classes religiously every night when I lived in Amsterdam in the mid '90s – it was so weird doing it again!! Firstly we were doing it in English so now I know what all the steps are called (don't ask how I followed it in Dutch!!) and secondly, it took me back by at least 12 years and I had this strange déjà vu feeling all the way through!
I think I giggled most of the way through actually as my co-ordination was a bit iffy to say the least!! I'd never make a dancer, I have rhythm but not the best bodily co-ordination!
They say spinning is a good class to do too – but they play the music so loud!!!… OH GOSH I AM SOUNDING LIKE MY MOTHER!!!! (That's it, I'm not speaking any longer!! How does that happen? When do we turn into our parents?)
Anyway, can anyone honestly recommend spinning?? And please don’t tell me swimming is good exercise, I get bored stiff!!!
