The new series of Spotlight on Jewellery kicks off tonight at 6pm and you won’t want to miss it. Not only are we launching the Freddie bracelet collaboration from Honora Pearls and Lola Rose (pictured above), celebrating their 17th and 13th anniversaries respectively, but we also have the launch of the brand Zacasha.
Zacasha will be brought to us by Maxine Becker (of Bibi Bijoux fame) and is a range of artisan jewellery, handmade in Indonesia. The designer, Jennifer Belcourt, was inspired by the traditional Balinese tassel necklaces and there is a very bohemian feeling to the range – perfect for the summer with flowing maxi dresses and kaftans. There are four different styles in the show, so lots of choice.
Tonight’s show is jam packed; Clogau, Diamonique and Gossip Watches are featuring, as well as more Honora pieces with Ralph Rossini – including the bracelet I gave away as a prize in last week’s competition. That brings me very nicely to announcing the first winner:
Congratulations to Catriona Murray, you truly are ‘blessed’!
Commiserations to all of the other entrants, but here’s this week’s prize…
An elegant pair of 9ct gold bar drop earrings (for pierced ears), worth £72.
For your chance to win, simply answer the following question: Which of these is not a recognised grading of gold by the UK assay offices?
Leave your answers in a comment on this blog by midnight on Thursday 12th May and I will announce the randomly selected winner right here on next week’s blog.

This has been a pretty hectic week for me with lots of enjoyable shows on QVC and, on my only day off, I was editing the new book. It is heading off to the formatter in America this evening, so you should be able to pre-order from next week. As always, check www.juliarobertsbooks.co.uk for more book news; I’m hoping to work with my copy-editor Justine this week to include a Q&A session.
Chris and I have also been trying to organise things for Sophie’s new flat – Chris more than me if I’m being honest. The sofa and chair are being delivered tomorrow, and the washing machine and mattress on Tuesday. Sophie and I took her cat, Milo, for his first look around on Bank Holiday Monday, after I got back from my three-hour gardening show.
At first, he was trying to find places to hide and crawling around with his belly close to the floor, but it didn’t take him long to settle once we got the cat treats out! I think Wilfie is going to miss him and vice versa. He had a great time snoozing against my foot in the sunshine a couple of mornings ago.
On today’s Focus on Fashion I want to draw your attention to a new brand called Anybody. Its on-air premiere is this coming Wednesday 11th May at 5pm, but it has already been selling online. It’s sleep and loungewear and fits into the new ‘ath-leisure’ category which seems to have replaced ‘sports-luxe’ as the latest trend. It is less print based than Carole Hochman and personally I think it has a sportier feel.
I absolutely love this conversation T-shirt which is available in four colour choices with different messages on each, there’s:
Black: Need More Sleep; Deep Periwinkle: Weekend I Love You (the word Love is actually a heart); Lavender Frost – Dream On; Smoked Pearl: More Coffee Please
The fabric is a blend of cotton, modal with elastane and the style already has one review which gives the full five stars. There are also leggings, jogger bottoms, a maxi nightdress and more, so have a look online as this might be a very fast-selling show. I think the perfect shoes to wear with the range would be Skechers, and we have a couple of their shows coming up this weekend too.
Speaking of shows coming up, I’m not in after today until next Thursday when I have Beauty Loves at 4pm and Joan Collins Timeless Beauty at 6pm.
Let’s hope the weather forecasters are right and we have temperatures hotter than Ibiza this weekend – looking promising at the moment!
