Hello, hope you’ve had a good week.
I’ve some fantastic shows on the way including another fabulous Today’s Special Value which I’ll come onto in a moment.
It’s been a pretty hectic week between home life and QVC. Including 40th birthday celebrations for my other half… Mine was years ago
I even made I cake. Hmmm, I think the word ‘cake’ is a bit misleading. I’m rather proud of how it looked and even decorated it with hearts and carefully selected candles (although the mug is a bit of a give away!)
Well, it looked nice but that’s where it swiftly ended. The taste was terrible and the consistency was heavy, stodgy and nothing short of disastrous! We knew, as soon as we made the first cut (more of a sawing action than cut) that it wasn’t good. We all tried a little – and that’s where it ended with just a little – before we all fell about laughing!
In fact there were tears of laughter, it was that bad, thankfully not followed with tears of tummy pain! I got the recipe off the internet and followed it to the letter… or so I thought? I’m not sure where it went wrong?
I quickly redeemed myself with the Victoria sponge recipe that came with my Bamix. The cake turned out beautifully. I even shared it with my neighbour who returned the plate with this little note!
I’ve never watched the Great British Bake Off – I hear it’s very popular and a really good TV show. I don’t think I’ll be entering just yet though!
On the subject of hidden talent and TV shows. If the TV show Dancing on Ice returns – I think Dale and I are within a good chance… What do you think?!
Ok, ok, maybe there’s a little bit of video manipulation going on here! Many thanks to Lee Hohbein for putting it together for us using the app JibJab! I hope you enjoyed it.
I do have some very special shows on the way including ‘The Poppy Collection‘ from Buckley this Saturday 25th October at 7pm. It promises to be an incredibly special hour. I do hope you can join me.
I’m also on air Sunday 26th at midnight with the launch of our TSV when QVC’s Santa’s Toyshop brings you ‘FlashPad 3.0‘. It’s amazing and really hard to put down. I bought the previous version which my children love.
I have also secured some fantastic prizes which will feature on a future blog very shortly.
Take care and see you soon.
In the meantime… A spot of iceskating perhaps!
