Bracing myself for the cold

4

As you know I am not a huge fan of cold weather. I'm happy to watch it from the window with the fire on, cosy with Mr Bojangles and Scruncher, and a mug of good old English tea cupped in my hands. But preparing myself to go out in it with layers, gloves, boots and coat – it's serious dressing for me at this time. And, of course, it all has to coordinate!

Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish - 222810 I love my warm winter baths (my own spa to die for!) and keeping my skin nourished! I clean my skin with Liz Earle's Cleanse and Polish, exfoliate the body top to toe with Decleor Body Scrub and Decleor Facia Peel. It drys like dead skin and makes Mr B and Scruncher bark - so funny!

Margaret Dabbs Discovery kit - 220879 Margaret Dabbs foot buffer works a treat to prep my feet for the Liz Earle Foot Scrub or the Margaret Dabbs foot scrub, which are both fabulous. I exfoliate my lips with the Philosopy lip scrub making them so smooth for when I apply Gatineau lip lift!

Elemis Milk Bath - 220720 Soaking in  my Elemis Bath Milk, with my Decleor candle burning, my Decleor Regenerating Face Mask on and the Lip and Eye Mask working hard on the wrinkles (a new one seems to appear every week), ahhhhhhhhh! The Philosophy Spirulina Mask is a real treat too.

I honestly stay in the bath until I look like a shrivelled prune, I just don’t want to get out of my little haven. But my jim jams, dressing gown and Emu slippers are waiting!

Nails Inc Ice Cream collection - 229837My skin feels amazing from the mask and milk bath and then I can't wait to cover my body in the Decleor body balm in the winter. I just love it. I use the Margaret Dabs foot oil once a month and the Liz Earle foot lotion each week. We mustn't forget our feet so we can look fab at Christmas parties with our favourite nail colours – I'm hooked on Lennox Gardens and Tate or St James Nails Inc at the moment.

A final spray of my Decleor fragrance (red bottle) relaxes me for the wonderful evening ahead.

Do you have any winter tips you'd like to share?

Kepp your eyes peeled for an update on the boys, coming soon.

    Hi Jill,
Your routine sounds full on! But very enjoyable I am sure!! I can’t wait to hear more about your boys. They’re just gorgeous. And I just had to say how fabulous you looked – can’t remember when now but a while ago. You had the most flatteringly elegant grey shift type dress on with a matching belt. It really really suited your tiny little frame! You have fab skin & are a joy to watch when presenting.
Wrap up in this cold now!
    Take care,
    Susan x

I love a good old soak in the bath in the winter too. I use most of Liz Earle products on my face and body but also like the Loccitane bath products. The shea milk bath and shower gel leaves skin feeling very soft and nourished and smell comforting too. I put a Liz Earle moisturising face mask on and my Ojon restorative hair treatment and a Yankee candle and lay back and shrivel like a prune whilst reading a good book. Then it’s time to slather on the bodycream (liz Earle or Loccitane) and then paint my nals with probably anything from Nails Inc or OPI. My favorite skincare tip for winter is definatley one of Liz Earles. To use the Superskin concentrate followed by the Superskin cream at night. My skin feels so soft and plumped up in the morning and it lasts.
I do like being outside in the winter months as long as i am warm but you can’t beat a good old pamper in a warm bath!
