Hello! I hope you’ve all been well since my last blog.
I’ve been mainly getting some house bits done… but I’ll come back to that in a minute. First, I’m too excited about my new purchase that I’ve been dying to share with you! I know you’ll love it as much as I do.
OK, this one was a bit expensive but here’s my rationale (feel free to borrow this if you need to justify to your other halves – or yourself – why you need this):
Most of my days are filled with putting the family first, i.e.: the supermarket shop, the never-ending laundry, making packed lunches, running the kids’ diaries (they have a better social life than me!), cleaning the house, and cleaning the bathroom after the 3 year-old has peed everywhere-but-where he’s supposed to, and unrolled every toilet roll to create piles of paper all over the floor.
My point is that what I need, comes bottom of the pile. My handbag to date has been a pink shopper that I was given for free at a textiles fair. It’s lovely, but it’s not really appropriate for all occasions. So… I treated myself to this gorgeous Amanda Wakeley bag.
I have the gold – which has now sold out – but you can also get it in Silver, and lots of other options if you don’t like the metallic look. Plus, it’s at a feature price at the moment, double woop.
If you can’t do the bag this month, then check out the purses, they’re amazing value for a designer leather purse.
I love it. It makes me smile inside and out when I use it. Ladies, we deserve to feel that happiness!
So, I mentioned that I’d been getting some house bits sorted. I decorated my daughter’s bedroom, she just needs carpet now, as it gets cold in her room:
I painted the kitchen and changed the cupboard handles to give it a new look
And I moved the TV to the other alcove in the front room, which means we can see it better, and I don’t know why I didn’t do this years ago!
This kind of thing makes me happy, and annoys my other half, which also makes me happy!
Scott would argue these jobs didn’t really need doing, but they definitely did, and I definitely need a reward for doing them. So to reward myself for the fact I’ve saved the family the cost of a decorator, I’ve ordered some Emu Australia boots to keep my feet toasty. I’m not going to lie, I have the best job ever, but it is very dangerous on the wallet.
I was torn between the Charcoal and the Coral. I love the Coral so much, but the Charcoal goes with all my clothes, so that’s what I went for. We are very lucky that the kids’ school is so close we can walk there, and these are perfect for slipping on to keep warm and looking amazing! They’re also water-resistant, so practical too.
Hopefully you caught the Liz Earle Big Deal that we had on QVC Beauty, I’m loving using the mask and the Cleanse and Polish. Also the Eye Tonic is quite frankly a joy to use, as it’s so cooling and takes the puffiness right down. If you missed it, then have a look at their 12 Days of Christmas set. The packaging is amazing and it has everything you need in it.
I also hope you caught the Star Wars hour on the QVC Christmas channel, as it was so much fun. If you’re looking for Star Wars cuddly toys check these out, they’re so cute and the quality is fantastic. They’re suitable from birth, you’re never too young to be a Jedi.
Here are our Big Deals for this week, starting 20th November. They go quickly, so don’t miss out on the fabulous savings, and remember we have the extended money back guarantee until the 25th January.
