On Beauty Insider this week: Vita Liberata, Decleor and more!

6

If you joined me for the first Beauty Insider show last week, then you’ll know all about our Supersize of the Month: the This Works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray. A frequently asked question I often receive, is what age can people start to use this. My answer is from three upwards, and a top tip is to start spraying spraying it an hour before you or your little ones go to bed, or even while you’re in the lounge or TV room, and you’ve just started your evening wind-down. I especially find it helpful when I’m working funny hours, and it helps me to relax and sleep during the day.

Tula is an exciting brand we’re going to be launching soon, and it’s our March Discovery Brand of the Month. It’s a skin health range developed by Dr. Roshini Raj and based on the science of balance, involving specific cultures of probiotics topically applied in easy-to-use formulas. I think this range will be especially brilliant for anyone with sensitive, tricky skin suffering from recurrent irritation, and could possibly even help as a topical beauty range for anyone who’s skin is affected by illness.

Botanical beauty from Liz Earle

Liz Earle is a fantastic range that’s hugely popular here at QVC, and the ingredients they incorporate into their products are just as brilliant as their aromas, packaging and extensive offering of targeted treatments. Liz Earle pride themselves on their diligence to check the supplier or grower of each ingredient with their own ethnobotany team, lead by the famous James Wong.

Favourites of mine include the customer awarded, never-beaten Cleanse & Polish, Eyebright Soothing Eye Lotion which is fantastic for swiping over tired eyes or using as a compress, and Orange Flower Botanical Body Wash (lovely for families as it’s SLS-free). Stay tuned for an upcoming Today’s Special Value offer, featuring a whole host of products you won’t want to miss.

Luxurious Decleor offers

Decleor is a range I previously during facials on royalty and celebrities, as there are a huge selection of products to suit most skin types.

My must-own product is the Aromessence Neroli Facial Oil, as I love adding it to my moisturiser, or applying underneath – my top tip is to massage it in when your skin is damp after a shower as this helps it to absorb. I’m currently giving myself an intensive eye serum course to fight back signs of ageing, and loading this under my eye cream feels lovely.

Three picks for the week:

Aroma Svelt Body Cream Duo – a rich cream developed to make skin look and feel more toned, supple and moisturised. A beautiful floral and fresh scent for spring!

Four Piece Overnight Cleanse & Contour Collection – a complete regime for removing make-up, cleansing, toning and moisturing your body.

Four Piece Men’s Collection with Bag – a great kit for the man in your life, this set is the perfect selection to share as a gift or help him prep for an upcoming holiday.

Mally’s back!

Mally TSV

I’m hoping she brings back her voice too, as she lost it on her last visit! Please make sure to check out Mally‘s upcoming Today’s Special Value Offer on the 18th February, which features a gorgeous, radiance-boosting foundation and a beautiful eye crayon too, among other fab bits. You can also purchase them separately here!

These chunky shadow sticks make application incredibly quick, and give great coverage too. Choose a nude shade for your daily eye make-up, and I love the darker ones under the eyes to create a smoky and smudged eye look – this also helps to disguise dark circles! To find out more about Mally, check out her recent Q&A on the QGossip blog.

All about hydration

Did you know that skin types can take many years to change, and are often controlled by our genetics and hormones? Skin conditions like dehydration and sensitivity can come and go, and can be caused by external issues like central heating, stress and even dust.

It’s always a good idea to have a ‘menu’ of hydration tricks at home, like the Novexpert Hyaluronic Acid Booster, Sarah Chapman Skinesis Intense Hydrating Booster or the Codage Serum No.1 Intense Moisturising. All of these serums will help to hydrate and moisturise your skin without overloading on moisture.

If you’re noticing increased sensitivity, simplify your routine by dropping it back to just two product, like a cleanser and a moisturiser.

Better weather is coming!

We’re approaching warmer, sunnier days, so step up your body scrub routine and get ready for self tan season with the Vita Liberata Body Blur, a beautiful cream designed to help smooth over imperfections and give skin a bronze glow. For more of my tanning tips, check out my blog post featuring some of your reader questions, and my expert answers.

There’s plenty more beauty goodness to be found at 8pm this evening, so tune into QVC Live to enjoy a show jam-packed with the best products, experts and brands, so you can give your collection a fabulous update. Don’t forget to check out QVC’s Facebook page and my Facebook page, where you’ll find even more amazing content. You can also send me your comments on Twitter!

What product do you recommend to reduce spotty acne prone teenage skin for a 15 year boy. I’m very confused with all the products on the market.

Hello Alison, my 24 year old niece is on a 3 month course of antibiotics for acne and her doctor has told her not to use any moisturiser or make up at all, i find this advice horrific and feel her skin will suffer more without help. i have recommended Decleor prolagene, can you recommend anything else?
