Beauty around the building – Part 1

I recently did some makeovers on some of our hard working staff behind the scenes that I would love to share with you.

It was a really fun day and involved me going round with a trolley of different makeup brands and choosing what would suit them best, based on their skin, age, and the look and performance of the makeup that they wanted.

I hope you find these makeovers helpful and enjoy watching them as much as I enjoyed performing them.

Barbara (40+)
Barbara works in the Digital Merchandising department and especially loves choosing and planning the homepage for  Barbara typically doesn’t wear much make up for work, and has a very basic makeup bag.

Her fashion fix, as you will see, comes from her fabulous hair and nail colours so I wanted to design a makeup that she could wear for work as well as going out, which was relatively soft and natural.

One of the key things was definitely eyebrows. It was also important not to go too crazy with strong or bright colour as I didn’t want to draw attention away from her signature style of her hair and nails, which makes her feel comfortable and confident.

To find these products, head over to the beauty department and search for the product number, which is shown throughout the video as the product is used, and again at the end.

Check back on my blog for more of these in the future

Wow loved that tutorial! Always interesting to learn knew things, I use the revitilash, & some of the other products. My biggest issue I have is having the motivation to want to look good I have bi-polar lost my brother just over 3& half years ago he took his own life he was 28. I’m 44 this year I spend 6 out of 7 days in my pj’s my hair is just lank it doesn’t do anything wen makes it greasy, oijon didn’t work. It us normally brunette but it has blonde foils in at the moment half head. I have 3 grown children 2 grandsons a husband and at the moment through the depression and bipolar I see no purpose. Why would my husband want to find me attractive I’m already married to him. I do live watching the shows though Ali giving something back it’s great, I’ll certainly keep on watching xxx

I really enjoyed watching the tutorial and can’t wait to see more. I am really hoping you deal with mascara problems for those of us with our own central heating system. I never used to have a problem but within an hour I have black smudges under my eye even if I don’t put any mascara on my bottom lashes. I have spent a fortune recently on mascara and primers but so far no luck. I live in hope. LOL

Great idea, Ali, I think we’ll all enjoy watching these makeovers on your colleagues.
We’re used to seeing befores and afters on the models, so it’ll be nice to see some fresh, unknown faces getting a makeover.
Normally we see one brand of make up being used from start to finish, so it’s good to see you mixing it up as we would at home.
I’ll look forward to seeing more of these, and if you want to do the same with viewers, give me a shout!
