Back to school beauty with the QVC team

As August draws to a close and September creeps in, most of us will be thinking about fresh starts and relishing that ‘back to school’ feeling. Whether you’re off to uni, preparing for the return of the school run or simply turning over a (crispy, autumnal) new leaf, you’ll want your beauty collection to keep up with all this exciting change. That means gorgeous products that you can use in a hurry, which leave you feeling fab – you’re on a tight schedule, after all!

With this in mind, we’ve rounded up our lovely QVC team members and asked them to share their essential beauty picks that will have you ready to take on the world in a matter of minutes, whatever adventure you’ll be embarking on this autumn.

This lovely Benefit kit has everything I need to go from ‘meh’ to ‘fab’ in five minutes. I love that it also comes with a super big mirror which is handy and looks really cute on my desk.

Skincare-wise, I like to dabble but one of my multi-tasking wonders that’s great for hair, skin and nails is The Hero Project’s Glow Drops. They’re non-greasy and are lovely to use as a base for foundation, and a little goes a long way!

I wouldn’t have got through uni without concealer. Late nights, stressful exams and a lack of fresh fruit and veg (sorry Mum) did not help my under-eye bags, and I still rely on it for everyday blemishes and dark circles. Tarte Shape Tape is fantastic, and although it’s often out of stock (due to QVC being the only UK stockist and it being SO popular), it’s now available in pretty much every colour. The formula is thick without being heavy, really creamy, and dries down to a semi-matte finish, meaning you don’t even need to set it with powder. Plus, the sponge it comes with is amazing for blending the product out, as well as your favourite liquid foundations and cream contour products too.

When I’m heading off out on the school run, I’m always in a rush and my hair just doesn’t get the attention it deserves! It’s quite thick and can be frizzy at times too and I don’t always get the time to blow dry it nicely, when the kids are racing around. So the Percy & Reed Perfectly Perfecting Wonder Treatment Oil is great to just work through my hair after towel drying – it helps tame the dreaded frizz and makes my hair look glossy and more presentable!

Coming from somebody that prefers to catch the extra zzzs in the morning – I swear by the three product rule most days.

I go for the Bareminerals Complexion Rescue as it is moisturising, contains SPF, is glowy (no need for highlight) and depending on how tired I am, often minimises the need for concealer.

I also rely on something I can use as both a lip/cheek tint. If it’s the right colour match (close to your lip shade), you can use it on both without needing a separate blusher. Benetint is a great one for this – try it out in this gorgeous collection that also comes with a few of my other make-up faves!

A couple of coats of Roller Lash mascara and I’m good to go.

My top time-saving buy has to be Benefit’s Hula bronzer. I reckon I could do my face make-up in literally a minute: a quick cover-up using my Tarte Amazonian Clay concealer under my eyes and on any blemishes, followed with a few sweeps of Hula across my whole face and then highlighting my cheek bones. I love the bronzer because it doesn’t leave a fake, unnatural-looking colour. My complexion looks smooth with a gorgeous, sun-kissed glow – it even exaggerates my freckles!
