I guess we’ve been pretty lucky with the weather so far this winter, so we can’t complain about the snow that has arrived this week.
I hope you are keeping warm and safe – if you haven’t got the Get-a-Grip traction aids to put on your shoes or boots I can honestly recommend them. Because of my polio, I am very unstable on my feet in ice and snow and they give me confidence. Even better, they are at a reduced price on our website at the moment.
It’s cold for us with our central heating and warm clothes, but imagine what it must be like for the birds. They need to eat to produce the energy to keep warm, so the Richard Jackson bird feed Today’s Special Value last weekend was perfectly timed.
I missed the offer, but it’s still at a good price on our website so I’ve ordered some to put in my new bird feeder (pictured at the top).
I’ve always been a bit nervous about having one, because of all the cats in our neighbourhood, but the design of this one prevents cats from climbing up it – brilliant!
Hopefully I’ll be able to take some good pictures of the birds feeding in the coming weeks.
Last weekend, it was Sophie’s birthday and she came round to ours for dinner, followed by the traditional chocolate birthday cake.
I had been working in the morning and tweeted my dressing room ‘roomie’, Katy, about the colour of her smoothie, saying I was going home to enjoy chocolate cake… I think we all know which is healthier, but also which tasted nicer.
I have been cutting out some naughty foods, but I still haven’t really got started with my healthy eating plan to help me drop a few pounds.
I hope you have been enjoying the return of the Lunchtime Show? I really like the format and particularly enjoyed yesterday with Jackie Kabler and our fab line-up of guests including Keeley Aydin.
I can’t believe she didn’t tip me the wink about the Elemis Superfood Facial Oil Duo!
I had run out, and it wasn’t showing on our website so I had to buy one at full price from my local Elemis stockist!
The duo is now safely ordered, as I don’t want to be caught out again. If you love Elemis, do tune in to the mini series at 8pm tonight and for the rest of the weekend.
Well, after a full-on week, I am off after today for the next five days. My plan is to write 10,000 words of my next novel – I’ll let you you know how I get on.

I think there will also be quite a lot of Slanket snuggling if it stays this cold.
