Babies, babies everywhere!

16

Yes I know, not Lauren and Nick JUST yet, but see below for the adorable shot of my lovely newly married daughter and one of the latest additions to the Flint clan. Also this week – some super sneaky peeks of upcoming deals and an early bird order link for Tarte on Sunday!

Baby Bash
There have been a number of new babies in the extended family this week, so we went along for a little baby party to meet the two latest additions to the Flint clan. Now my mum has currently got 5 children, 16 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren, and we were there to meet little Arthur aged one month and little Skye aged 10 days, being the latest additions.

No pictures are permitted of the littlest baby, so here instead is a picture of my daughter with bouncing baby boy Arthur. Heather his mum is just recovering from her French Chateau wedding and a similarly busy time recently, even more, busy than mine has been! So I’m sure she enjoyed a little respite when everyone took turns to hold the lovely little lad.

He is now about 10lb, 10oz, which is almost exactly the weight my own daughter came out weighing! She was a whopper that’s for sure! *eyes watering*!! Lol!

Look at my lovely girl, Lauren, freshly married (hubby Nick is in the other pic) and she’s feeling a bit broody, methinks. She loved holding her little nephew – well second cousin actually. He is my great-nephew. But as some of you guessed last week, (drum roll) she will have her own nephew in January… Times they are a-changing.

It will be very exciting and the baby will be kept off social media, I will only give updates about it on my personal blog on my website, more info over there in the next few months. (PS am I allowed a little squeeeee!!!?)

Meanwhile, a good time was had by all and I relaxed for the four hours I spent there amidst lovely family. First time in ages!

Happiness

Saw this pic and thought that considering there are so many babies around at the moment, I would post this pic. What a lovely sentiment, don’t you think? About 17 years ago I learned that happiness was a choice. It was just after I got divorced. There’s a bit more about this on my website blog this week, including how I handled the breakup, and I wonder if your experiences are similar to mine…it’s this week’s TOPIC OF THE WEEK – Do go look then come back and let me know by posting a comment below.

Book of the week – you’ll also find there, the Book of the Week review – if you want to get into a seriously engrossing, page-turner, read my recommendation as part of a SEVEN book series, it’s in the link above.

Tea Rooms Time

When I’m reading, or writing, one of my favourite things to do is take myself off to a nice tea room, especially a vintage one, and just sit and unwind, set myself up in a little corner, and write my book. Or catch up on all the admin I have to do, running a business, writing my blogs, keeping up with social media etc.

However this week when I went to the Maid of Honour tea rooms in Chiswick, I ended up fighting for space, feeling guilty that I was sitting there too long, as it was so busy! Serves me right for going there on a Saturday afternoon, even if I did have a wicked Quiche and salad! I’ve always loved going to tea rooms though, I was never a disco/bar/pub person, more a nice cuppa person! Better luck next weekend…

Kipling Conundrum

Had a lovely show with Marie Francoise — So many fabulous Kipling bags on offer. My conundrum is this – it’s time for a change and I do want to move on to another Kipling handbag, but which one? Shall I go back to an old one I loved, or should I buy myself a nice new one? What do you do? Considering the September I had, with lots of events and challenges to overcome which fortunately all went smoothly, maybe it’s time for a little treat. But I need a smarter style really, and one that is quite roomy. What would your suggestion be? Here is a link to some of the bags on clearance currently on our website.

Where’s Goody?

Where’s Goody? Several lovely kind viewers have wondered why Goody the model has not been on our QVC screens for a while, and here is the reason – she is a classical acupuncturist and has just been too busy to accept the QVC bookings, but as she reaches a less hectic phase in her schedule, we hope to see her back on our screens again in the next month or so, maybe. She says to say thank you to everyone who has asked after her and sends her love back. She often models for Michele Hope, so here is a little selection – some at clearance prices!

Top Vlog If you are a follower of my official QVC Facebook page, here you will regularly see my vlogs, ‘video blogs,’ and if you ‘like’ the page they will come up on your newsfeed, and if you’re not on Facebook you can still watch them anyway. Here is quite a long detailed one with some really funny bits, hope you enjoy it! At least one of the days this week down in Devon was sunny 🙂 Do come along on the dog walk with me… click here to watch it!

Kabler’s Back Rub

Yes here is Jackie’s tweet from last week, when I arrived at work and she was sitting all hunched in the chair. I gave her shoulders a rub and this is what she posted! Oh well seems I will always have a second career if I need it… lol 🙂 PS the thing is it’s a good job there was not any sound on this clip as she was making the weirdest noises!! Monica from friends eat your heart out… X

Facebook Funny

Actually here is a Facebook funny. This actually made me laugh out loud, seriously! Speaking as one who makes cauliflower couscous regularly for our guests down in Devon, this is bang on hilarious 🙂

Blooper – Last week live on air, just as I handed over to Dale for his little tease to his show ahead, there was the most incredible squeal! Another one of those funny live television moments. He joked it was the studio mouse, so Veronica the floor manager drew him this immediately afterwards! Can you hear it on this clip?

Watch – The Apprentice 2017
Well, there is some great television on at the moment, and this latest reality show is one of my favourites. There was a time I thought I should apply, but nowadays The Apprentice has descended into a little bit of a farce, depending on the way it is edited and the mix of applicants who seem to have been chosen for their larger-than-life persona rather than business acumen. Which all goes to make it highly watchable, even if it’s not a credible business program. Nonetheless, I love it. Here is the trailer for the latest season which kicked off this week, watch it on catch up.

This week on QVC – iiiiiit’s Chrisssssmaaaaaassssss!!! Yes, it’s that time of year again! And there’s a massive Xmas shopping weekend this weekend – including the offer of the extended money back guarantee on all gifts, so the 30 day trial begins on Xmas day if it’s a present. Yay!

Here is today’s Halo offer – three telescoping torches with batteries and gift boxes at an excellent price of under £23, click here to get to yours.

Saturday – our first Christmas tree today’s special value, 108 function pre-lit with a remote control and easy pays, the trees were really popular last year so buy early rather than late!

Earlybird order link for tomorrow’s Tarte offer  – click this link to buy now, (233351), it’s a super six-piece set featuring the most amazing palette, which the make-up girls have been using on my eyes for the last few days.

Next weeks deal include – Monday, Joe Browns signature dress, Tuesday, at last, the Cozee Home heated plush throw, it’s back, don’t miss it, it’s an absolutely ideal gift and I used mine loads last winter.

Wednesday is a beautiful fragrance collection from Shay and Blue, and Diamonique features in Thursday’s deal of the day with studs and lever back earrings. Finally, Friday has the powerheat infrared quartz stove heater with 3-D flame effect. A marvellous week don’t you think?

    Hi Debbie,
Congratulations on the baby! Though you’ve dropped enough hints lol! I completely understand their wanting the ban on social media. It’s too much these days. I’m always very mindful it can be tricky for people to see all the babies and happiness everywhere too. But lovely news for you!
I agree about happiness in theory but I’m not sure really it’s as black and white. Nice thought though yes. Good to hear your confirmed news now Debs!x

I love your blogs ! They are always so interesting with the perfect mixture of family ( at home ) and family at QVC too. I love the way you always ask models their height and give your size when selling items so we can do comparison size shopping if we are unsure which size to go for. The one thing we would love to know though – Last night you presented the diamonique show with Alison O’Reilly. The beautiful blouse she wore with the black underneath and embroidered flowers all over it ? Where is it from and please say QVC -If not any clues where we can buy it. Keep up the excellent work. I don’t buy Sunday papers now – I read through your blog & recommendations 🙂 Chris Manchester

At last, I’ve been wondering where Goodie had got to along with your other professional models, Tanya and Sharon they are sorely missed on screen, always so professional. I always admired the way Goodie would swish her hair away to give a good view of necklines etc not like most of these new models you have now who just let their hair hang over their shoulders so you can’t see the necklines. If you see Goodie again let her know she’s missed please.

Exciting times for all your family Debbie congratulations!
Your honesty is refreshing,I’m sure lots of people can relate to you, isn’t it funny that sometimes people you don’t know personally are more honest than the people you feel you know well.
Happiness is a state of mind, perhaps it takes some people at bit longer to find it,Life is what you make it.
Ps Your Retreat looks great, best of luck with everything.
    Lucy.
