Autumn musings

As I sit here in the presenters dressing area (largely because Craig is in at the same time as me and he always makes so much mess in the dressing room, I can’t get in – just kidding, they’re really roomy!), it occurs to me that summer is really over!

I know the weather forecast tells us that we have a nice week in store, but the kids go back to school this week and I have a show with Kim Mendleson on Wednesday at 11am with loads of Autumn outfits – so the balmy days are behind us, and pretty soon I’ll be battling to do the last grass cut because of the wet conditions.

It’s not been a bad summer. We have had lots of nice weather and bar a bout of septicaemia and some sutures in my backside, I seem to have got through the kid’s summer holidays unscathed. However, it’s going be something of an effort to get back into the ‘new’ routine again: homework, after school clubs, dark nights and dark mornings, and wet cat and dog feet. It’s about this time of year I start wondering if we can afford a holiday somewhere hot and sunny during the February half term………. Imagine Cruising perhaps!

Still, now I’ve got that off my chest I’m off to check some holiday deals and get ready for my shows this week. Enjoy our Indian summer!
