August Pick of the Month: Alpha-H Liquid Gold Supersize

6

Alpha-H Liquid Gold Supersize 200mlThe lovely Will Gowing visited me at home recently and forced his way into my bathroom to see what products are filling up my shelves and cupboards.

As you can see from the short clip below there are products everywhere, including August's Beauty Pick of the Month from Alpha-H. It's a supersize version of one of their hero products – Liquid Gold!

This summer’s heat wave may have caused one or two main problems: firstly, increased skin pigmentation and secondly, a thickening, coarsening of the skin causing wrinkles to look like areas of fine to thick corduroy on your face, chest and hands. You may often panic or feel like you need to change your whole skincare regime, but you may not need to.

It can be simpler, and more economical, to just add Liquid Gold into your existing routine to address these summer problems. Alpha-H is a serious salon brand who specialise in the pH levels and concentration of skin peeling ingredients to ensure they give the best results. This clever product also addresses the issue of the sun increasing oiliness and persistent spots.

So, how do you use it? There are three levels, or ways, to do this, which means you can find which procedure works for you.

The strongest way for extreme skin conditions, and those of you who need to try and jolt your skin, is to wipe the liquid over your skin every other night and use nothing else on those nights.

The second way, that's slightly gentler, is to apply the same amount but on dampened cotton wool to give a gentler action.

The third way, for those who can't go bare for a night, is to apply with either of the techniques above a few hours before bedtime. Then you can apply your usual serums and creams after this gap. It is important to say that you must ideally use an SPF30 or SPF50 in your daytime routines for maximum results and skin safety. These creams are available here from Alpha-H and Ultrasun. Liquid Gold may cause a few minutes of tingling, possibly with a slight flushing of the skin, but this should subside within five minutes.

A word of caution! Do not use this for the first time if you are on holiday, after sunbathing or have a skin condition (for instance eczema or any other medically diagnosed skin condition). Everyone should do a test patch behind the ear, to be left for 24 hours, before full application. As long as there is no reaction, then apply to the face for the first time.

Suffice to say, this is a simple-to-use but potent-results product. It is also excellent on any skin tone that appears dull, sallow, grey or ashey. This is the case with paler skin, olive or tan skin tones especially, and is a firm favourite with Asian or African Caribbean skins too.

A trick for men who want to get these results, but can't follow the cotton wool application technique already discussed, is to pour a few drops into the palm of the hands and quickly massage onto the face, being careful to avoid your eyes.

My final top tip is if you are looking for results related to pigmentation, then only apply to the hyper pigmented area.

Don't forget, as with all Beauty Pick of the Month offers, you can order yours with free P&P, but remember the offer only stands for the month of August.

If you haven’t already discovered Liquid Gold it could be your next salon secret!

I have just seen the beauty pick of the month, I am 49 and currently use Gatineau and Elemis, I have lines around my eyes and lines on my cheeks when I smile, will this help my skin,
Also my daughter 17, has ache scars and suffers from spots, she is on antibiotics and prescription face wash, will this help her skin get back to normal ?
I look forward to your reply
    Thank you

    Hi Alison,
I have been a fan of Red Carpet since I bought it as a TSV.I have used it weekly as I don’t like the regrowth for the past year.I have read some of the articles recently iro the lights rays and it has now made me feel concerned using it. I have started using Nails Inc this last week but am missing those shiny long lasting nails.I know you and Debbie Flint are big fans of Red Carpet and would love to know your thoughts.
Thanking you and for your informative shows.

Do you have any advice for a beauty product junky. My bathroom is full of products for my pick and mix approach. The problem is that they are all good premium brnds. How do I develop a beauty routine around some excellent core products that will suit my skin and give excellent results. I am 63 and receive many comments on my skin which I enjoy taking care of. I am getting married next may and would like to develop a capsule skin care collection to help get my skin into prime condition. What do I really need?

    Hi Alison,
I have been reading about the Alpha H range. I’m very eager to try the Liquid Gold. I am 24 and have hyper-pigmentation around my eyes and upper lip i do suffer with occasional spots and have sensitive skin in areas. I’m so desperate to have my skin back to the way it was. I just wanted your opinion on this product and if it would work for me.
    Thanks
