I thought I would write ahead of the long awaited Beauty Bash… I shall be there this week on Thursday and hugely looking forward to being amongst you. For those who aren’t going to be there we (Catherine and I) shall endeavour to have you with us, since we will be taking pics and trying to give you snapshots of the day.
What is the Beauty Bash and why so coveted, you may ask? Well, for me at least it’s a fabulous chance to meet you!! Plus of course so many of our incredible beauty brands who set up stall (so to speak) and are there on hand to meet, greet, advise and have fun with. It’s a chance for them to share their wealth of knowledge and expertise, and continue their development as a brand, discovering ascertain your wants and needs from this wonderful world of Beauty in the future.
One range I am so looking forward to seeing there is NIOD, the winner in our “Find a Beauty Brand” competition. After such an incredible launch on the QVC Beauty channel where Nicola Kilner and I introduced NIOD to you , I’m looking forward to hearing your reactions to this very different and exciting new brande, which is already winning awards from the industry experts for technical advancement and innovation despite launching a mere 6 months ago. The premiere show on the QVC Live channel is this Saturday at 1pm if you fancy tuning in.
The bottom line however is what does the ‘real person’ think? How does it translate into our world? Onto our skin? Well I have seen some superb reviews and was particularly struck by the in depth reviews showing the obvious knowledge of those of you trialling it, with comments such as “blown away by the results”. It appears you are completely understanding the scientific approach to the range yet appreciating the simple additions to be made to your existing skincare routines which have reaped huge rewards to your skin.
Let’s face it, this time of year is a harsh one, so as the light around us showcases all our flaws and the skin, our barometer is clearly showing the excesses of December to see such impressive results is… well, simply that – impressive!
The Copper Amino Isolate Serum and Multi Molecular Hyaluronic Complex serum (a mouthful I know!!) have been a permanent fixtures for me… something, as far as I know, isn’t being delivered by any of my other ranges, so an easy slot-in. One of the men I know who is using it spoke of the fluidity of the texture, almost water-like and the feeling after use of fresh skin as opposed to heavy layers sitting on the dermis.
I actually am using the Surface Hydration Vaccine AFTER a dose of moisturiser. Nicola explained this step isn’t always needed for most as the hydration provided and locked in will be sufficient, but can be added if your skin particularly needs it. My skin wanted extra, I listened and now feel almost as though by adding this as the last layer it is perfectly sealing in all the moisture. It also makes for a smooth canvas to then add make-up, improving both texture and my pores, and retaining a hydrated softness for the whole day no less.
There is a laboratory-style efficiency both in packaging and smell, by which I mean a lack of pretty smells. This may be a huge plus for some of you – certainly not an issue for me, as there are other things I use that can provide the pretty smell bit!
The Photography Fluid is, well… as I look back at the pieces Nicola and I filmed… it’s clear its working! My skin has a luminosity which looks fab, more youthful, which is something I crave with the advancing years! Not necessarily the youthful bit (who am I trying to kid…) but the luminosity! I played about with it and for me just a touch AFTER my foundation gives me my best result, though mixing it also works. A tiny bit goes a long way.
It’s always exciting to have the chance to try newness in this fast paced world of Beauty and I’m always so very proud of and grateful for QVC’s brilliant 30-day Money Back Guarantee.
Whilst we chase our tails to retain this eternal youthful exterior let’s remember that this beauty we chase comes in so many guises. It’s in a glance; within the strength and structure of our faces; it’s there when a shadow falls softly illuminating the skin; it’s in the sparkle shining from our eyes and the creases that surround them, a sign of a life with laughter…
So let’s ensure we retain a balance and never forget that amidst the glorious lotions and potions, true beauty comes from within!
I’d love to hear your thoughts and favourites within our Beauty ranges at QVC.
I shall catch you up with all the wedding preparations next … there’s something to be said for a short run up, decisions are made swiftly and excitement is building…!!
Stay cosy till then,
Much love Claire xx
