Access all Areas: At home with Alison Young

Will GowingQVC's resident beauty expert, Alison Young, invited me to her house recently for a bit of a nose around.

Ali is celebrating the 17th anniversary of her 'In the Salon' shows next week and we've got some exciting things to look forward to.

Too many funny things happened on my visit to Alison's house that I couldn't fit them all into one video. So to kick us off, here's the tale of the Sandwich Thief! If you love dogs, you'll LOVE this…

[Having trouble viewing this video? See YouTube's Help page]

In the video Ali mentioned one of her 'must-have' products, the Sarah Chapman Hydrating Booster and also the L'Occitane Hand Cream.

Ali has the most gorgeous dogs, it's was great to meet them, they obviously enjoy the odd slice of bread too! For the record, the sandwich was LOVELY!

I'll see you very soon, Will x

    Ha ha, love it!
I’ve been watching Ali’s slots since the beginning and have made use of her advice many times. Not only is she a beauty guru but she’s a fab entertainer.
Keep up the excellent work Ali x

Hi everyone, it’s Will here. Thank you so much for your messages, I’m really pleased you like the video, we had a lot of fun making it.
Anne, yes I did get my sandwich in the end ha ha, it was LOVELY, ham and salad, very nice!
Karen, it’s amazing how sneaky dogs are, Ali’s sandwich stealing dog can open the bin, the oven and used to open the fridge until she bought a dog-proof one!
Thanks again for ALL your comments and look out for the other ‘At Home with Ali’ videos, I’ve got three more to show you :o) Will x

    Hi Will and Alison,
How funny,i too have a dog thief, springer spaniel, can’t leave anything within her reach but well you would do it yourself, wouldn’t you?!!!! My dog will take anything but when preparing a meal she sings at me for carrots!!!
Looking forward to the next video and also what made me laugh was the dogs on the sofa, funny how when ever i have visitors my dog will get up to all sorts of tricks, attention seeking i think because during the day it is just me and her, worse than babies eh, Alison!!!

I loved the videos. I have products hiding over my house but not as many as You. Loved your house and dogs and I could not stop laughing when your dog kept running off with Will’s sandwhich or
should I say stealing!!!! This was a great insight into all the
products you have to test and ‘your must have products’ It would be great to see a much longer video. I love the banter that you have with the beauty guests and all the advice that you give us.
Thank-you for allowing us into your home.
    Love Ling-Mai [a beauty junkie] x

Love the bright, white kitchen, just as I loved the bathroom. Must take constant cleaning to keep it looking at its very best as on the video. Doubt though if you have the time to clean it yourself what with dogs, horses, product trialling, clients, oh, yes – and of course QVC!
My favourite dog (to look at) is the light-coloured one but I can see that they’re all great characters!!

    hi alison
i want to know after cleansing do you put your ultrasun first
and then your moisturiser and if so do your moisturiser and
serums work as effectively as they should.
    thank you.
    sue kent.
