I have very oily skin on my cheeks and my nose. When I wear makeup by the end of the day it tends to have settled in my pores and my face is slimy. What face products can I use to reduce the amount of oil in my skin? Or what routine should I be using?

    Hi Keeley
I am 55 yrs of age. When I was younger I had spots and blackheads, spots have gone but not blackheads. I cleanse/tone/moisturise,use scrub/mask but my skin never seems to look glowing. I drink lots of water and stick to a healthy eating regime (80-90% of the time). What products can I use to get a glowing skin.

I’ve recently purchased the Tri Enzyme facial wash, serum, mask and night cream. Should i be using these products all year or for pick me ups when my skin needs them? I would really like to vary my skin care routine as i also have daily redness relef and the lavender mask to name but a few. I love my Elemis products so i would like to use as many of them as possible! What should be my beauty regime? I am 32, fair skinned with combination complexion. Thanks x

Hi Keeley i purchased a few weeks ago the Tri-Enzyme pack with the Tri-Enzyme wash, Tri-Enzyme Serum and the Tri-Enzme Gel Mask,I have been using them for the month and the results are fab. The question i want to ask is with my daily routine i include my ulta sun for the face i put this on after using my cleanser and the facial wash and then i use my serum but i dont put my pro collagen marine cream on as the ulta sun for the face can be used as a daily moisturiser is this ok missing this step, I do use the pro collegen marine cream at night though
My skin is smooth and radient and although i am 43 this year a lot of people says i look younger
Thanks(p.s. the Gel mask is wonderful and has a very refreshing feeling love love love it)

I have facial eczema which leaves my skin red, blotchy, dry and flaking. This makes me very self-conscious and I cannot apply make-up as it accentuates the dry, flaking areas. What products can I use to hydrate and calm my skin?

    Hi Keeley
My problem is even after cleansing, toning and moisturising when I apply my foundation it just clings into my open pores and the dryness on my nose and chin area, I just look caked
At the moment I am using Decleor cleaning milk and toner but as usual I am ready to through them in the bin. I ordered the Judith Williams “try me” and really should have sent it back.
It seems that I am wasting my money but I would really like to get it right even my Bobby Brown and Bare Essentials Foundation
have been given to my daughters!
Over the past 18 months I have been taking medication which will be long term so I really think this is not helping
Is there anything in your range that would help
    Kind Regards

    Hi Keeley,
I have a number of issues with my skin and seem to treat one and then another but never really get it all under control and balanced. Here goes!! I suffer with acne roseacea which flares up just before and during my period, I have a T-zone that gets oily half way through the day and overall my skin can be reactive and dehydrated. I’m 45 years old but am told I look 10 years younger and would like to keep it that way! Starting to suffer around my eyes. Quite dry with fine lines. Tend to stick to products for sensitive skin as those with heavy perfumes cause a reaction. HELP!! Can you suggest a routine to sort me out please??

Hi Keeley. I am 39 years old and recovering from breast cancer which was diagnosed last year. The surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy have all taken their toll on my skin. At the present time it is quite sensitive, but extremely dry, and wrinkles have appeared from nowhere!! I am currently using a decleor cleanser and toner (which i’d like to use up) but i’m using visible brilliance, and pro-collagen day and night creams. Is there anything else I should try? I do exfoliate religously twice a week, and use papaya and then exotic cream moisture mask. I’d really appreciate it if you could advise me. I’m also going to be having a double mastectomy early next year for genetic reasons, and want to do everything possible to prepare my skin before another operation. Many thanks, Nichola.

a common question i’m sure… i’m not sure what kind of skin i have as when i hear descriptions of dry or oily i find i agree with some things and not others. eg. i don’t have breakouts or lines and i like the feel of cold water on my face (which i believe is oily), my skin does not feel dry or sensitive and is usually not dull (except occasionally). sometimes i think it’s a little bit dehydrated. make-up disappears into my skin. i prefer thicker, creamier moisturisers than lighter ones. sometimes the skin on my nose is a bit dry, sometimes on my forehead too (not too much). i think it sounds like i have normal skin or a kind of reverse t-zone thing going on. my cheeks never feel dry or oily.
for most of my life (im 41 now) i’ve just washed my face with very cold water and patted dry, hardly use moisturisers and have the occasional mud mask if i feel i need it – say, every couple of weeks or so.
i am beginning to notice subtle changes to my skin these days and although i think i’m blessed with good skin i don’t want to take it for granted and then wake up one day a wrinkled, dried up old prune!
    see why i’m confused?

  26. claire May 16, 2010 at 11:47 pm -  Reply

sorry to add anoter comment… but this time it is not about the skin on my face… the skin on my body, again i’m not too sure but when i have water on my skin (eg in the bath) it seems to be ‘waterproof’ if that helps explain what i mean. it doesnt really look wet; the water seems to separate into droplets… i don’t really have concerns as much as i don’t know how best to keep it in a good condition. i do have a little sun damage as i did not get a tan until my late 30s (i don’t tan easily!) and then the first time i got a tan i burned. it seems to me from the description that my skin might be oily, although my skin isn’t “shiny” – yet my forearms feel a little bit bumpy and dry. my hands are starting to age really and i feel more and more like i’m getting “elephant skin” – not very pretty! i would love to know how best to deal with that.

Hi Keeley, I am using the balancing cleanser and toner (Lime Blossom & Lavender) followed by the tri-enzyme wash, but it seems to irritate my skin – red and blotchy especially around the forehead area. Can you please confirm if I am using the products in the correct order or suggest another routine. I would like to keep the tri-enzyme wash in my routine as it leaves my skins feeling so soft and smooth. Can I use the tri-enzyme gel and serum (I have tried samples of each and didn’t seem to have any adverse reaction). Many thanks Keeley

Also suffer from the odd break-out! What do you recommend as a helping hand from your range.
p.s. Would describe my skin as sensitive.

Hi Keeley, I am really struggling with my skin at the moment. I’m 51 and my main concern is what look like red dots under the skin all around the middle of my face, especially on the chin and cheek area. I’m not sure if it’s Roseaca, I also have little broken capillaries too. The texture is very soft and smooth and people always comment on how lovely my skin is but that’s only because i have to cover it up with foundation. Without make up it’s red and blotchy.I do suffer with the odd spot and have lots of large open pores though i wouldn’t say i have oily skin. It can be dry on the cheeks. I use Rose Petal Cleanser & Ginseng Toner & Pro Collagen Marine cream and the SOS cream at night when needed. I also used a course of Bliss Capsules. What is happening to me! Please help.. Thank you

Is it okay to use both the TriEnzyme mask in conjunction with the Lavander Herbal Repair mask? If so is it best to leave a few days in between using one then the other? I love the Tri-Enzyme range to help smooth out my skin but am also prone to hormonal break-outs so like to use a clay mask now and then.

Hi Keeley, Just love watching your Elemis shows and am addicted to all the products. I would like a little advice re my skin. I am 50 yrs old with broken cappillaries and blocked pores on my shin. I recently had an Elemis facial and the therapist told me she thought the blocked pores were due to me always using a false tan. Although I do exfoliate, cleanse + tone, tri-enzyme facial wash every morning, pcm cream during the day and oxy night cream? I am now considering purchasing Elemis own self tan – as I think I do use all your products on my skin except self tan. What do you think?

Over the past couple of years I have used Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish and recently gatinou (cant spell it) melatoganine (didnt see any difference with this). Felt that some of Elemis products were a bit too harsh for my skin. Now using Liz Earle moisturisers too. Can you recommend anything? Am tempted by your pro collagen marine cream but feel it is too pricy and my skin is very dry and tight so where you say it lasts 3 months, I would be lucky to get 3 weeks from a pot.

Hi Keeley, I have always used good products on my skin and it is usually flawless. However, I changed to Elemis in January just for a change (I tend to try a different brand every 2 years or so) and am disappointed with the results. I firstly went for the tri-enzyme TSV which brought about a rash under my skin. I stopped using that but carried on with the brand using the lavendar/lime blossom with pro-collagen day & night. But I still have a couple of small patches of rashes of under my skin that are difficult to get rid of. I’ve been using SOS on them. Do you think I’m using the wrong products for my skin type? I’m 43 and have normal skin – a slightly oily T zone from around mid day. Thanks, Jane.

I have also noticed that I sometimes get tiny white lumps/whitespots on the base of my neck.

I usually put on about the size of the palm of my hand to get the best effect thinking the more I put on the better it works. I am trying this but by mid morning my skin looks greasy (I have very dry skin with quite a lot of redness). Can you advise me please on how much I should be using. I am keen to try something from the Elemis range to see how I get on.
Look forward to hearing from you.
    Kind regards.

    Hi Keeley,
I am asian and 35 years old. In winter I am fair/light medium but my skin goes one tone up towards medium. What can I use to keep my skin colour same in summer. I can understand the pigmentation increases due to exposure in sun, but if you suggest any product from elemis that would be great. I don’t go out in the sun. I am using elemis since it has been on qvc.
Thank you so much for your help.

    Hello Keeley,
I will be going to Australia & New Zealand in 5 months time. I have fair skin & burn quite easily, could you recommend some sun protection for face & body please.
Also i would like to use the Elemis tan accelerator to prepare my skin, how far in advance of my holiday would i have to use it & how often?
I am a Liz Earle user, but would use the Milk bath & frangipani monoi moisture melt.
Thanks in advance for your help, Gillian :)

    Hi Keeley,
My issue is dark circles, I have recently started using the eye serum which is giving me small milia type spots, I have reduced the amount I am using but am still having problems. Could you please suggest what I could do. I cleanse, tone, use visible brilliance and pro-coll day and night cream – I am very happy using these products, however I don’t use them around my eyes (not sure if it makes any differnce but I am 42)
Please advise, many thanks in advance for your help.

    Hi Keeley
I love all of the elemis products, I would like to know if you can put the tan accelarator on your face or is it just for the body? :)

Hi Keely, I want to know how to incorporate the ultrasun face product whilst using the tri enzyme regime. I realise I should not really use the trienzyme whilst actually on holiday but how do I use it at home?

    Hi Keeley,
I have a query regarding my skin, its difficult to explain – I have an issue with the skin on my chin, really on both sides from the corner of my mouth down – it appears slightly lined ( lines going diagonally), has open pores, blackheads and small spots, but not really very pronounced. It appears worse in the morning, I have tried many things but nothing seems to improve it. I believe I have a very good skin care regime – currently I have been using the Elemis pro-radiance cleanser, at night and the marine cream as my daily moisturiser. I tried the tri-enzyme trio for just over a month but found this was causing the break out of small lumps on my cheeks – so was nervous about continuing with it.
Would love to hear your advice – I really enjoy your shows and have really enjoyed using the many Elemis products I’ve had to date – milk bath is to die for! Thanks.

    Hi Keeley
I’ve been having microdermabrasion since September last year and I don’t find that it is working. I still have scaring, blackheads, breakouts etc. I’ve been using Elemis Lime Blossom Cleanser and Lavender Toner for over a year now. Do you have any other suggestions please. By the way, I’m 49 and have always had bad skin, should I still get spots ?
Love Elemis and the show – especially you and Julia :)

    Hi Keeley,
I am a new user of Elemis after having an elemis facial investigation at a spa day.
I was advised to use the tri – enzyme facial wash, ginseng toner, absolute eye serum and cellular recovery capsules, i purchased them all!
I LOVE these products and I am seeing results already after just a week.
Should I continue to use the cellular recovery capsules once my supply has run out or are they to use for a month and then stop?
I can be prone to occassional break outs and bumpy looking skin on my back, I am getting married next year and would like my back to be clear and smooth looking. Can you suggest any elemis products to help with this?

Hi Keeley – love watching your shows, they are informative and give me a giggle at the same time – especially when you’re on air with Alison!
Really hope you can help me. I’m 45, always been prone to spots/blackheads however my pores are increasing in size, are noticeable from afar and my t-zone is very congested. I have lots of bumps under my skin particularly around my chin. Been using pcm a.m. and oxy p.m. with visable diff underneath. I’m alternating between ABC skinwash and tri enzym face wash, using the tri enzym gel twice weekly however I’m seeing little to no results (been using tri enzym for over 3 weeks now) Been using lots of the Elemis range for about 9 months. I did use the capsules day/night for a month and did see an improvement however they are quite expensive to repurchase every month – any suggestions? Also I have a very baggy eye area, can you tell me how to use the eye cream and the eye serum as I’m not sure how close to take them to my eyes and whether they can be used on the lids – any tips for reducing bags would be great please.
fyi – I’m taking the following medication – thyroxine (for under active thyroid) B12 injections, iron suppliments and diagnosed with coeliac disease 6 months ago.
Thank you so much Keeley, I really appreciate any feedback you can give me.

    Hi Keeley
I’m a regular user of both Elemis and gatineau products. i suffer from very sensitive, dry skin. I’m disabled and on quite high doses of morphine which has played havoc with my skin as i now look as if i have teenage spots on my forehead and shoulders. Along with these problems due to the steriods i’ve used on my face and not knowing about ultrasun until 2 years ago (in hot weather I tend to sweat out the high spf, I’ve always usend 30+ in hot weather on my face) i have pigmentation marks on my cheekbones and around the lower eye orbit bone. i do have regular Elemis facial and body treatments and while I’ve used the try enzyme was for 2 years i was advised to aviod the rest of the range as I was down to a travel size of the wash i bought the gel and serum on offer to try and they so far have not reacted.
At present for my eyes which are very dry so have fine lines and are slightly hooded due to the steriods use which has thinned the skin, etc. I’m using gatineau melatogenine mask at night and elemis pro collegen during the day but this is still not getting rid of the fine lines it looks better for a few minutes after applying but a little while later its back to normal. i’ve tried the absolute Eye serum, etc in the facials I’ve had but the cause my skin to react and then can’t use anything bar elemis milk protein. i do like the new cleanser as i find this really moisturising compared to the traditional cleansers. After your mini-series I have now swopped my day cream to a mixture of the moisture and pro collegen but find to get the moisture i need it tends to roll off. I’m not sure if this means its time to use bliss casules agin. I have ordered them in the kit with the SOS treatment but this is on waitlist. last time | used them was 6-9 months ago using the 45 spa day kit which qvc no longer do.
Sorry this is long but i would love a recommendation to try for my eyes and whether I’m doing the correct routine with my face or making it too complicated. usually in the summer i swop to pro collogen only during the day and my gatineau at night but do find inspite of using a good make up primer my make up whether liquid or bare minerals is absorbed and so looks very patch as my face has got dry after a couple of hours with adding the moisture cream this is better but still not quite moisturising enough i try to use the amount yo mention and do love the texture so not sure if there is another day/night cream i should use.
thank you for any help you can provide. louise :-)

    Hi Keely.
I have been using just the elemis range for about 4 weeks, i use lime cleanser, lavander toner, sensitive wash, bliss capsules and PCMC in the morning and SOS at night, my skin used to be brill until about 12 months ago i started getting spots not small ones and not just and the time of the month all the time they can be large, hard and sometimes painful ones i mainly just get them around my chin and jawline now, i have never suffered with spots in my life not even when i was a teenager, after about 2 weeks of using the range i hadnt had a fresh breakout of spots so i decided to introduce the tri-enyzme range, wash, serum and mask to help with my lumpy bumpy skin and my acne scars, after 3 days a have had a major breakout again all round my chin and jawline so upset as id thought id cracked it, im still using the products as routine but should i stop, im 36 and dont really have wrinkles or dry skin not very oily or shiney defo combination. My routine is AM, cleanser,or sensitive wash, tri-enyzme wash, toner, bliss capsule (pink), tri-enyzme serum, PCMC, PM cleanser either lime or new radiance cleanser, toner, tri-enyzme wash, toner, bliss capsule (green) tri-enyzme serum and SOS. i also use gentle rose exfoliator, or papaya, herbal lavander mask once a week and tri-enyzme mask once a week. Please please help and my wits end now with my skin wearing more and more makeup each day (never used to wear any)to try and cover spots and scarring. I would be most grateful for any advise or help you can give me.
    Many thanks in advance
    Sally xxxx

    Hi Keeley
I love watching your shows and use quite a lot of Elemis products, including the tri-enzyme range, pro-collagen marine cream, lavender toner etc. The problem I have is that I’m in my early 60’s and my face is like an oil slick all over about an hour after I’ve used any cleansing, moisturising etc products. I have very open pores too. Have already tried many Liz Earle and Gatineau products, which don’t seem to work very much at all. I know Alison Young says that skin dries out as we age, but mine just never has. The one thing I don’t have are wrinkles, apart from an ’11’ zone on my forehead. Please could you advise what the best routine would be for me, I’d be so grateful to receive your advice. Thank you very much in anticipation.

    HI Keeley,
I use the Tryenzyme range after cleanse & toning but have just had a baby about 1 month ago. Since having the baby I have got really really sensitive eyes that every time I use the tryenzyme facial wash my eyes react straight away they are very itcy and swell up. I do just use it over my face and not on my eye area.
can you please help with my eye problem it is bothering me alot.
    many thanks
