So the Easter holidays have flown by and after many trips, visits, bugs, chocolate eggs, giggles, pizzas, cuts and bruises, stories, movies etc etc we’ve made it to the end and perhaps some semblance of a routine might once more be mine? Although I must say I’ve loved every minute!
If you remember, I gave up chocolate for Lent and I can’t tell you how glad I was to come off my fast!! Easter was welcomed with open arms by me as I sooo missed my chocolate hits! I’ve not given anything up for Lent before… so, I thought it might be a good exercise in self discipline – hah!
Not so sure it was as I think I grazed on anything and everything in desperate attempts to get the hit that matches that of chocolate – me an addict?? Surely not!!
I also had a bit of an accident using my vegetable V slicer on Easter Sunday whilst slicing carrots – we always say on air the importance of using the hand guard and I guess I thought I knew better – silly me! But, the roast continued and all was well despite my homemade bandages that you may have seen me modeling since! (glad to say I am nearly healed and I can even change my nail colour on that thumb again, hurrah!!)
For those of you with me on Facebook and Twitter, you would have been with me every step of the way – it was hilarious and as always, I love your comments and conversations! (Pipa Gordon on Facebook and twitter.com/PIPALIVE)
These photos (above and left) were taken at Windsor showground BEFORE the weather changed!! The Great British Outdoor event was BRILLIANT!! My husband laughs at me as I love gatherings of loads of people in big open spaces – any event will do!
This one was great as there were hundreds of tents and camping things (which we love) boats, quad bikes, bouncy castles, racing cars, bungee jumping (nope no way, before you even ask!!) and so on – of course it rained, it wouldn’t be the Great BRITISH event now would it if it didn’t?!
Anyhoo, back to school in the morning and I hope you’ve had a great Easter and have enjoyed the sunshine, the quiet skies, the political goings on, Eastenders, 24, Britain’s Got Talent not to mention Beauty Day, Easter Surprises and the big Richard Jackson competition – a LOT has been going on!
