April, Art & a new Techie Blog!

Craig in Sensing SpacesHello!! How are you? Hope you are well and that April is treating you well so far?!

I must say, so far I am loving April – I feel so inspired in a way that I always seem to be this time of year, even with the weather still very changeable, there is a fresh energy in the air and I love it!

It's been a very social month so far, lots of time with friends, a couple of crazy nights out, but also more arty things like exhibitions. One of my favourites has been 'Sensing Spaces' at the Royal Academy – you can see me in the photo in the honeycomb part of the exhibition where visitors are encouraged to be part of the exhibition by inserting coloured straws into the structure, good fun!

PeoniesIsn't it also great to see flowers blooming? I have been filling my house with little posies of daffodils; they are my all time favourite flower, and I love their bright yellow colour, so full of sunshine and joy! You can see them in my flat along with the peonies blooming in my garden – gorgeous!!! Talking of flowers what do you think of the poppy cake my sister made for Jasmine's school? The school were doing a project on World War 1 and my sister volunteered to make this cake for a little fundraising event they had, isn't it brilliant – I think she definitely got the artistic talent out of the 2 of us!

In the other photos – you can see me and Charlie have a giggle in the presenters lounge, not sure what Charlie made of my green smoothie! And also a new mask I was trying by Radical – the most amazing texture, it comes out as a clear gel then transforms into a bubbly, creamy mask and leaves the skin glowing! – Keep an eye out for this brand on QVC!

Finally – I have started my own tech blog! It's on my own website and it's a way of me answering any tech questions you may have and also a place where you can read articles and reviews that I write for online magazines. Have a look at it there, and if you ever have any questions about technology I will answer them for you! Here is the link.

Do drop me a line here, I love hearing from you and I would like to know: what's been YOUR highlight of April so far?

Much love,

Hi Craig, FINALLY, got around to watching my recording of you presenting Miller Harris perfume from nearly 2 weeks ago now I think; when it’s something I really don’t want to miss I catch it on the Sky box & keep it for some treat time for myself. What a fabulous show it was & well worth recording. Your idea of viewers tweeting it their 3 favourite smells so you could suggest a perfume, was genius and would be a really good idea for all perfume shows. It gave us such an insight into the different perfume groups and how each one would perform. I was able to identify two that I know I will love & have earmarked them for when they come back into stock. My husband was very impressed & commented that you have a real grasp of how the female mind works & how to import relevant info to us in a relaxed manner; he said to ask if you give lessons to bewildered males like himself?!!
Your Mindful March is now over & very successful judging by the comments on your blog so I am going to try & make this an Anticipatory April with lots more good times to attach with Velcro and relegate the bad moments to the Teflon Shute.
Best love as always to you & everyone you love, Penny x

    Hi Penny!
Lovely to hear from you and so glad to hear you enjoyed the Miller Harris show! It’s lovely being able to record and keep it for some free time isn’t it? Good to hear you liked the
Twitter idea, it went down well and I’ll defo keep it in mind for future perfume shows.
Ha ha! No lessons sadly, it’s just all the experience from the shows etc! Thanks to you and your husband for your kind words.
Thanks, yeah Mindful March went well and to be honest I’ll still be carrying a lot of the positive thoughts on as it can really make a difference to every day life. Anticipatory April sounds like a great idea! Stay in touch on here and let me know how it goes!
    Have a lovely weekend.

    Hi Craig,
I, like you, love daffodils, as soon as I see them it makes me happy as it means spring and warmer weather are on their way! I think my highlight for April so far is being able to walk to work on the sunny mornings. My route takes my by Little Venice which is so pretty first thing in the morning and cannot fail to make me happy and set me up for the day.
I like the sound of the Radical mask and I am looking forward to seeing the brand launching. Do you have a date for that?
Your sister’s cake is amazing she clearly has a talent, don’t feel bad though, my sister is very creative, but she is not as good at other thing which I am, I am sure it is the same for you.
Hope you and your family have a lovely Easter weekend, I am going to try and get to the Royal Academy to see that exhibition – thanks for the recommendation!
Looking forward to seeing you on QVC again soon.
    Ellie xx

Hi craig, im so glad you are having a lovely April and you spent time with your sister, family is so important. My sister suddenly left us all tuesday morning, she loved flowers and bees, her christmas present from her husband was two bee hives which she was going to take to cornwall with them because they were going to move there in the next few months, so every April when the blossom is on the trees, the new blooms come alive and the bees start buzzing, i will smile and remember her dirty laugh, silly sense of humour and celebrate her 44 years of life. Lifes too short, so laugh loudly….. Live for today and love the simple things. I will be looking on the QVC website for a bee brooch that way i have a little something with me at all times. April is a beautiful month x

Hey Craig, April has always been a special month for me as my daughter was born on the 29th. This year she officially turns into a teenager, which in itself is bringing both joy and fear lol I also like April as I seem to get in the garden more. I am hoping that Richard Jackson can help with ideas on easy growing as I am terrible at getting anything to last in the garden, to the point where I am consider plastic bushes :) I am enjoying your blog and tech page and I look forward to you presenting on qvc as you are so enthusiastic on everything you are working with, I have bought many a Yankee candle on the strength of your expressive descriptions, but don’t tell the guys at work :) anyway, keep up the excellent work and even though you never read out my tweets on TV, I look forward to the next Yankee hour. Take care and enjoy the rest of April. All the best, David.

Ok so you have a creative sister too. Yes I agree we all have our own skills just different to our siblings.
Did you manage to get to the exhibition and how was it?
Thanks and hope you enjoy my upcoming shows!
