Beach scene

And the winner is…

0

Thank you so much for your WONDERFUL response to my picture competition in my last blog and for such lovely comments! The budding photographers were delighted and I hope it will inspire them to continue being creative and certainly ‘ find the beauty’.

I added up all your votes here and on Twitter (if you did want to step into the Twittersphere I’m @clairesuttonqvc). I was thrilled to see that ALL the pictures ‘ spoke to you ‘ which just proves what I always say … we are all so different and unique. The suggestion of a montage was super too, so I may have a little play around.

So, drum roll please… as I announce the overall winners decided today Thursday 10th September…

Beach scene

The feather photo came in third place – I particularly loved the colours in this one. When you enlarge it, the shade of the feather is echoed in the pebble – quite beautiful. It was one of Joe’s and I’m thinking of having it printed onto a cushion for his room, if the quality can take it.

Beach sceneSecond place was taken by the stunning artistic composition of the couple (Maddie and Joe!) silhouetted on the beach with the waves crashing onto the beach and then the sea and sky – beautiful layering I thought and balanced too. Talking of balance, that was a joint picture idea it transpires, so both Joe and Maddie – team work!

Beach sceneThe winning shot though (and incredibly by just one vote) was the fabulous pebble picture taken by Maddie! I loved the light upon the centre section and the colours are simply beautiful.

After reading the comment Anna wrote about the large pebble on the right hand side looking as if it had a heart on it, I looked again and you’re right Anna!

So, it is even more deserving of first place status! Without a doubt I’m going to see if I can print this off, I find it embodies the calm and peace that Aldeburgh always instils in me.

Interestingly (and ssssssh don’t tell the children), those shots and in that order were exactly the pictures I chose too, but I’m so glad I did it via all of you! Thank you again for helping me out!

Just thought I’d post this up and then will be writing soon with more chatter and thoughts. I hope you’ll join me on QVC next week where I shall be finally trialling Nexxus, the scientific haircare range Alison Young and Chloe Everton have been blogging about which looks and sounds fabulous. Plus Morning Shows, Lunchtime Shows , Fashion, Jewellery and Beauty – what’s not to love!

See you super soon,

Tom cropWith love, the mother of two budding photographers and one who as you can see currently tries to avoid a camera at all cost!!

Claire xx
