And the winner is…

I hope all’s well as always.

Just a very quick blog this week to thank all of those who entered the Gourmet Food Giveaway competition – congratulations go to Cheryl Spiers our lucky winner, who can expect her prize to be delivered shortly.

Andi Peters and I enjoyed a fantastic last three hours on-air together with our fabulous guests and their often award-winning gourmet offerings.

All things being equal Andi and I will be back on your telly early next year – that’s if we’re invited of course!

As I always say at this time of year it’s frantic at Q Towers and goodness only knows what it must be like for our wonderful colleagues up at Knowsley who are packaging record numbers of parcels at the moment – keep up the great work!

As I write it’s still possible to order some of the fabulous gift ideas online and that includes festive food such as the Green Seasons 5.3kg Christmas meat hamper – packed with the best of British as selected by Pat the butcher (Herlihy), an incredibly experienced second generation master butcher. The hamper is delivered to your door in its own polystyrene freezer box, complete with festive sleeve – the meat and trimmings are frozen ready for your freezer or a slow defrost prior to cooking.

This is the third year we’ve had ours at home for Christmas and I’ve always found the quality to be nothing short of excellent. Pictured is my own roast gammon loosely based on Green Seasons Chef Michael’s recipe. Why not try it yourselves but you’ll have to be quick as the first of many thousands of deliveries start in the next week or so.

As mentioned in my last blog, last weekend we celebrated our twins Ali and Jack’s 21st birthday who both made a quick visit home to meet family and friends before going back again to their universities for the last couple of weeks before Christmas. They had a wonderful time and enjoyed catching up with their family and friends before Christmas.

Back at the Q this coming Wednesday at 7pm, I’m very much looking forward to my first hour on air with the lovely Amanda Holden, one of QVC’s Ambassadors and creator of the charming BundleBerry range of home furnishing and accessories. This is followed by an hour of stunning diamond jewellery with Laurie Wickwire at 9pm.

Until next time stay well fed and fabulous…
