Happy New Year!
2018 dawns… how very exciting (I hope!). I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas, or that you got through the past couple of weeks OK if it’s a time you dread, or don’t celebrate.I worked through to the 29th but still had a lovely “hotel room Christmas” in London – hubby and I opened our gifts round a tiny little tree I’d brought from home. We ate and drank far too much, took silly photos (see above!) and wandered around enjoying the Christmas lights and festive atmosphere of our beautiful capital city when I wasn’t in the QVC studio. I even went to the gym on Christmas morning, taking advantage of the fact that the hotel had a very nice one which was virtually empty that day!
I then had some time off work over New Year, which I mainly spent at home in Gloucestershire having a lovely time with friends and family, and working on the final proofs for my new book, which will be out in May.
And so now onwards we go into a shiny, brand new year full of promise. I don’t really make New Year resolutions but a return to full fitness is one of my big hopes for this coming year, having been limited in what I could do for most of 2017 due to an on-going back problem. Thankfully it’s been feeling stronger recently and I’m determined to get back to proper running and entering some races in 2018 – watch this space!
I’m very much looking forward to doing more travelling this year too – if you read my blogs regularly you’ll know that discovering new places is one of my very favourite things to do. I have some great trips planned, including another few days away with my sisters and mum, which we are trying to make an annual event, and a celebration with my oldest friend to mark 40 years of friendship.
I’d love to hear your plans for the coming year, so do leave a comment under this blog. And I hope you will continue to enjoy QVC – we have some very exciting things in store for you! I hope this New Year brings you all you have dreamed of.
Love Jackie xx
