An announcement, my fave QVC products and family fun!

Hi everyone, how have you been?

My first piece of news for you this week is that now that Kathy Tayler is back from her summer break, looking fabulous, I am pleased to say that I’ve loved it so much on the main channel that I thought I’d stick around! I’m so looking forward to the rest of the year particularly the run up to Christmas.

It’s been a lovely few weeks at QVC, Chloe and I launched the new style Lunchtime Show which was great. It feels like a talk show and it’s a nice way to get a one on one with the guests while still having the usual fun that The Lunchtime Show brings.

I had a hair piece and wig show with one of our newest guests, Kyle Kaine with Hairdo by Hairuwear. These types of shows are always entertaining, changing your look with a simple hair piece is brilliant and so easy and Kyle is such a character it was a blast . What do you think of the 13 inch ponytail I go to wear for the show; I could really get in to changing my look like this?

katy on bedSo what have I been loving at QVC recently? Well I could pick a hundred things but I will just choose a few for now! I ordered a fab pair of Geometric print trousers from Attitudes by Renee. I love them!

Crazy prints on trousers have been such a key look for the last year or so and it’s a trend that I am really embracing. They definitely stand out don’t they?! Great for casual wear while I’m at home but I will also throw on some heels with these for when I’m out on the town!

In beauty I have been trying out lots of the fake tans. Like many of you no doubt I don’t really like sleeping in an all over ‘grubby’ tan that has the potential to stain the sheets. I also don’t want to have that instant ‘you’ve been tangoed’ look. So I have been loving the gradual tans. For my face I have been indulging in the James Reed Sleep Mask Tan. How wonderful that there is now a product that includes ingredients like Aloe Vera, Hyaluronic Acid and Algae Extract to help keep your skin feeling hydrated. It’s clear and doesn’t come off on my bedding and it’s doing more than just give me great natural looking colour, bonus!

For my body I gave the Tan Luxe gradual tan a go and really like how it’s a wonderful moisturiser that smells like raspberries but also builds to a lovely colour. No orange here, just a sun kissed glow, perfect!

tan luxeI’ve also been using Pixi 2 piece Black Lacquer Lash Primer and Large Lash Mascara. I wasn’t sure if it would make much difference compared to one layer of normal mascara but it has definitely helped to build a thicker longer looking lash, what do you think?

katy and daughtersOutside of work I’ve been enjoying the summer, I know us Brits love to whine about our weather but I think it’s been pretty nice. We’ve had some lovely park and beach days and been out on the water on the paddle boards, Barbecues at friends houses and even a few parties.

The latest excitement for my kids has been that my parents put in a fairy door to one of the trees in their garden. I’ve never seen Tilda so excited before, she was running around like crazy and had the biggest smile on her face. She made a wish to ‘invite’ the fairies to come and stay. We will have to check down their soon to see if anyone has ‘moved in’!

I’m getting ready to go away for 10 days to the west of Ireland, I can’t wait. Meanwhile though I have some great shows coming up before I go so stay tuned.

Keep up with what I’m up to on my Twitter and Instagram, I’ve been using the new Instagram stories a lot have you tried it yet? As always let me know if you’ve discovered anything fabulous that I need to try from QVC.

Lots of Love

Katy x

Hi Tanya, sorry I missed that this post had lots of lovely comments. Fairy doors are great aren’t they. Have you ever been to Furzey Gardens it’s a whole magical garden with fairy doors all over the place to find. If you are ever near the New Forest you must stop by there xx
