By popular demand, we are excited to bring you the one litre size of Philip Kingsley’s Elasticizer, available for the month of February. This will be a global launch of the Coconut Breeze version, perfect for using as we move into spring and summer, and infusing your hair with the refreshing and sweet scent of coconut.
QVC has been instrumental in sharing this hair treatment remedy, as previously you could only really hear about it during a private appointment with a trichologist.
It’s easy to add into an existing hair regime, as you don’t need to change your shampoo and conditioner – just apply the product to hair before you wash and to hair that is dampened. It doesn’t have to be soaked; you can just dampen with a wet hairbrush, hands and the tap or a water spray. The reason for this is when you then smooth the Elasticizer onto your hair, concentrating on any broken, dry or damaged areas, the rich oil formula takes the water you have applied into the hair to lock in and hydrate. This gives a dual phased result of oil and water-based ingredients, along with the strengthening complexes to bond split ends together and help strengthen and condition each individual hair strand from root to tip.
For best results, you should apply before every hair wash for anywhere from five minutes to an hour, or as often as you can, and leave on overnight. Results can increase with frequency of use, so if you do have damaged hair or you want more intense results, then use it more often. It can also be used for weakened or damaged areas pre-shampoo, every time.
With this great one litre size, it’s great to share with other members of the family, and brilliant to apply after colour or chemical services to bring the hair back into condition. Apply after any heavy styling sessions and party hair and remember to take some on holiday with you and sunbathe with it in to protect and treat. Another great trick is to apply when you are working out at the gym.
When you hair is very thirsty or dry, or if it sinks in – apply more. I find it easiest to leave it out in the bathroom permanently and try not to just think about it before you wash your hair. Pop it on when you come in from work and leave it to soak whilst you are having your dinner or – with the funny hours I work, you can frequently find it underneath baseball cap while I’m walking the dogs.
Every hair benefits from increased elasticity, condition and strength so it can be used by everyone and all types and textures of hair. It’s a must if you are trying to grow your hair because it strengthens the ends and is a god-send for curly or Afro-Caribbean hair, as these ends can be very fragile. Curly and thicker hair types even like to scrunch this in and use as a hairdressing product that adds condition and weight to help control curl, as you don’t usually wash as often as a straight or finer hair.
No matter how damaged your hair is, please try this first before cutting it off because it has saved so many people and gives you your hair confidence back. As the late, great Mr. Philip Kingsley would say, Happy Hair Days!
A few words on our Supersize of the Month for February:
This lovely Deep Sleep Pillow Spray from This Works has been a longstanding favourite of mine and this is the original launch formula which, personally, I have always preferred the aroma of.
I recommend that you use this product to help introduce some quality beauty sleep to your routine, and to improve your night time ritual with good sleep hygiene. This includes no blue lights, going to bed earlier, enjoying your beauty regime leisurely, reading a book and misting your bed linen and pyjamas, and my favourite trick (because of the purity of this product), I am happy to spray this directly on to my neck and chest. A top tip is to keep it by the bed with the top off and if you do wake up in the night, it’s easy to grab and do another quick spray.
Here’s one more tip: always follow each spray with some deep inhalations in through the nose and out through the mouth – ideally with your hands on your tummy so that you can concentrate on taking in these vapours and focusing on the aromas. I hope you love it as much as I do!
