Hi, this is actually not a comment but seeking help/advise from Alison. Please I am 51 years old woman and black. I have been trying a number of skin products but don't seem to know what to stick to. My skin type is oily and prone to breaking out in spots. Please advise on good product (pls note that I have a tight budget). Also, I am begining to notice darkness round my eyes. Aside from face could you also advise on good body product for saggness and stretch marks (orange peel like) So, good body wash and cream that you can recommend would be appreiated. Thanks

Please can you advise if you will be getting the Bare Escentuals 'Rare Minerals' night time skincare minerals?
I have been reading the reviews of it on QVC.com (QVC USA)and it seems to be one of their best selling products, it's even on Auto Delivery.
I really would like to try it but can't find it anywhere here.
I thought with the popularity of BE products it would be a certainty you should be getting it soon!

A question for Alison.
I am currently alternating between Decleor Balm Essential and a retinol night treatment (Philosophy's Help Me). This is in order to avert break outs and lessen some acne scarring (pigmentation).
I am very interested in Decleor's Prolagene Gel and was wondering if I could not only apply it under my moisturiser and spf 25 during the day but, on the evenings that I'm using Help Me? As it is a gel could I apply it, allow it to absorb and then use my Help Me?
Many thanks!

Hi Alison,
I have been shopping with QVC for 12 yrs now and i somehow needed to thankyou and to let you know what an inspiration you are to me and probably to so many others. Watching and listening to week after week i finally made my mind up to leave my career as a florist and go to train in college to qualify as a beauty therapist. I not only qualified got student of the year with a years free coarse's with dermalogica. Pushed myself to get a place in a top spa with footballer's and face's. Now a few more years in my wonderful career that you Alison inspired me i am the manager in a top Spa in Liverpool center and Elemis trained. I just needed somehow to thankyou, you are an inspiration to me i love to watch you, i cannot begin to tell you the knowledge i have learnt from listening to you and your guests i just love it.
So thankyou beauty is my life and i just hope you get this message as you do so much more than you think Alison.
Health & Happiness Penni :) ps...now i'm looking at people on the beach cause i'm all covered ha ha x

Hi there Alison,
I'm a 25 year old guy and have slighlty oily skin. I've been using the Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish but I'm finding the Skin Repair Light is just a little too heavy. I have slightly enlarged pores on my nose, I have the occasional breakout, and find that whenever I put my moisturiser on without a few hours I start to look a little shiny.
I tend to find that products that are too gentle don't clean my skin properly, and products that are too strong dry my skin I was wondering what you would recommend? I've been looking at the Elemis products, but I'm just not sure whether that's the right range, and which products I should be using as I don't want to be in the same position again!
Thanks in advance!
Damian

Hi Alison
I just bought the Philip Kingsley Discovery Kit for fine hair (bodybuilding) after reading your advice but I am unsure how to use the products. The shampoo & conditioner I will use daily but how often do you use the scalp tonic and the elasticizer?
Thanks

Hi Alison
I just wondered could I make a request for 'Pure Grace EDP'?? I adore the smell of being so fresh and have had so many comments from male and female friends and would love the EDP as the fragrance would just last so much longer. Many thanks!!

Hi Alison,
I was wondering if you could tell me what i could do about blackheads on my nose. They don't seem to be filled with sebum or raised, they just seem to be black marks in the pores. However i did try squeezing them a lot and wondered if i have pushed the dirt too far down.
please please help me!
Thanks

Hi Alison,
I wondered if you could help, my mum's i her early forties and frequently uses Loccitaine and Liz earle hand creams but has recently been diagnosed with contact dermatitas. The doctor has given her a steriod cream to use but she'd rather not use it, do you know of a more natural alternative? please help!

Hi Alison
I am 43 and have suffered acne all my life. Recently it got worse and even a course of anti-biotics didn't work all that well. Decided to true Philosopy's 'Hope in a Bottle' along with 'Purity' (morning and night) and these seem to have started to made a difference (even after only 5 weeks). However my skin now feels slightly dry and I was wondering if 'Help Me' would help with this, as well as help with the acne and the acne scarring I also have. Also is there anything else I should incorporate into my routine, I am always mindful of the fact that you always say that with acne or congested skin you should keep things simple.
Many Thanks
Rochelle

Hi Alison,
I am in my 30s and I am afro caribbean with a dark complexion. I have uneven skin tone and scarring from acne. I also have oily skin, what would be the best concealer and foundation I can use that is not of a liquid consistency.
Thanks

Hi Alison, I am having trouble with finding the right skin care routine for my skin in the winter. All summer I tend to get slightly greasy skin and was using Philosophy's Purity and Hope in a Jar which were great and my skin looked glowing. But for the last couple of months my skin has been getting dryer and more sensitive, I had to stop using Philosophy every day as it started to sting. This week I have also been getting breakouts all over my cheeks, with some spots on my jawline and my forehead is very dry and flaky. I have read some of the other posts where you have suggested Decleor products and I like the feedback from the Baume Essential but I am not sure which cleanser to use, should I keep to Decleor or would it be ok to mix products such as Liz Earle's Cleanse and Polish? I do have problems in the winter but have never had such sore and painful skin, I just hope you can help me.

Hi Alison,
I would be very grateful for your advice. Having lost weight through illness I now have very slackened body skin. I am in my 30s with dry sensitive skin. From your previous advice I have been using the decleor prologene + sculpt aromessence + system corps which has been working very well but I would like to alternate it with different ingredients on a monthly basis. I saw the new elemis pro-collagen body serum and cream and I wanted to know if this may be suitable.
Best of wishes, Kay

Hi Alison
I used to purchase Decleor's Instant de Beute from QVC which really suited me very well - it seemed to bring my face "alive" and many people mentioned how well I looked (I'm 64 and am extremely lucky to have "good skin" - I never wear makeup but do cleanse, tone and moisturise!). Sadly though I've not been able to purchase this product for some time now. Has it been discontinued? If so has it been replaced by something else? I've texted QVC a number of times asking about this but unfortunately have never received a reply, nor, when I've watched a Decleor program, have I heard it mentioned (eg I texted fairly early into the Decleor program tonight!). I'd be really grateful if you could possibly let me know the answer to this please - as one horse lover to another :-)
Many thanks in anticipation
