Gosh, it was a busy old weekend wasn't it! Never mind previous listings of parties and reunions, I spent Saturday and Sunday here at QVC Towers and in the company of some lovely guests. Not sure if you saw Tova at all, but I was spoiled with three hours of her company and not just her fragrances but the jewellery too.
I always make sure I check with her as to what she'll be wearing so that I don't clash! I do remember one time having to present a fitness hour beforehand, and although I managed to cover the lycra with a dress, my trainers didn't really work... Tova though, was far too much of a lady to mention it :)
Guess the road sign
Talking of memorable moments, while driving into work along my usual route - the M1 - I noticed in the middle distance a rather strange pink and orange light. This was on Saturday when the weather was appalling and my wipers were moving faster than a Geisha's fan in their vain attempts to try and shift the water that was sloshing down from the heavens.
Well, the pink and orange light got closer and I was able to see it was actually an illuminated warning triangle, with the words Slow Down highlighted underneath it and the number 30 by the side. Nothing unusual there, until you look at the position of the car inside the triangle. See??? (Sorry the picture is a tad poor as my passenger had to try and take it through rain, screen and wipers!)

I was planning to give you all a blow-by-blow account of our rounders match the other evening, but am putting that on hold for a few days, 'cos there's something else I think you'd like to know about.
You know when someone mentions a name to you and somewhere in your mind it rings a bell? Happened to me the other day when I was told I'd be launching a brand-new range of jewellery designed by none other than Judith Ripka!
Not only is she the recipient of the prestigious DeBeers Award for Outstanding Jewellery Design, but after several years - literally! - in talks with our jewellery buyers, I'm delighted to tell you that she has designed a fabulous collection of sterling silver jewellery. Plus, it features an awesome collection of our very own simulated diamonds - Diamonique.

I've had it since I was 13, and by jingo it's come back with a vengeance this week! I've been given tablets, Dimotap LA, to combat the itchy eyes, running nose and throat that feels like you've swallowed an entire dandelion clock... but it had the unfortunate effect of sending me to sleep, which wasn't helpful when I was trying to negotiate More Lane in Esher on my bike after school!
Or possibly more importantly, my O levels in the summer of '76. My eyelids became heavy at the point they told us we could turn our papers over... and I awoke to find the invigilator telling me that my snoring was distracting others in the exam!
But seriously, do ANY of you have any weird and wonderful remedies that have worked for you? I think the strangest I've heard is to rub petroleum jelly around your nostrils, which is supposed to catch the pollen before it gets into your nasal passages! I feel it could have the same disastrous consequences that wearing lipgloss used to have when I rode my bike to school.

This week seems to have flown past what with Sam's birthday party on the Saturday and then our Preview for Silver Day in the middle of a busy week at QVC, here we are almost at the weekend again!
There were a number of raised eyebrows in the family when I said Sam was having his 'do' at home. Mutterings along the line of 'give 'em an inch and they'll take a mile', but I'm happy to say apart from a glass full of cobalt blue liquid - which I'm given to believe is some kind of alchopop - being found in the middle of the lawn on Sunday morning, all was well. Oh, and just incase you were thinking the mutterings may have been to do with underage drinking, Sam was 20, so all legal!
I will never forget the day he was born. It was a Friday and not just any Friday, but Red Nose Day. As I waddled towards the ambulance in the full throes of labour the driver asked me if I wanted to wear a Red Nose during delivery...?
Why, I hear you ask. I was never really very sure, but declined on the premise that I would look comical enough no doubt giving birth without having to highlight the event! He was a beautiful baby though and as good as gold, and hasn't really changed... much!

I'm very much looking forward to this week's shows as I have two hours of fabulous yet diverse fashion - Tiana B and Dreamkeeper. So, watch out for a chance to update your wardrobe or to add something truly stylish to it.
I'm excited too about a rather fab watch you'll see me wearing which is from a brand new range called Elite. "Elite. That sounds familiar!" I hear you say... not surprisingly because it's the name of one of the top model agencies in this country, and if you take into account the calibre of their models, I know you're going to LOVE their watches.
Been loving Glen Campbell's Style File and the guessing game to see whose shoes he was showing... I think you're all brilliant to have got them pretty much right each time! Seems Catherine Huntley and I are closest in style with our shoes, but I take my hat off to you, because the amount of time our feet are actually on screen is minimal, so clearly your eyesight is a great deal better than mine! Do you think it would work with the guy's feet? Not so much variation on a theme perhaps...
