Great to have our new system up and running, and to whichever lovely lady it was who posted a comment last week requesting the item number for the Centigrade Coat I had bought it's 124613. There are many different colours to choose from, but I went for the chocolate brown. I've washed it several times and it's still as good as new, so good luck with that one, and thanks for your lovely message. Keep in touch! Ali

Alexandra O'Donovan

Hi Alison, saw you recently when you mentioned the doll Tressy. The ad went, Tressys got a secret, be the one who knows. You can style Tressy's hair to match her new high fashion wear, her hair grows. Unfortunately I really believed you could cut it and it would grow back, least said. Alexandra

Hi Alison, Some time ago you presented a jewellery show, I cannot remember the name but you were wearing a beautiful blue/mauve flower necklace, I am not sure if it was b & w or not. Could you please tell me. You kept it on throughout the show and it looked really lovely. Thank you in anticipation. Val

heather reynolds

please can you tell me what Honora necklace you often wear? It is the black one. I have phoned but they say that it is your own - it's a fabulous one. If it is available, please can you put me out of my misery?

alison keenan

How lovely to find all these comments! I'll answer them in order:
Firstly Alexandra - sorry I hadn't seen this previously, as it did make me laugh. Not just that like you I believed Tressy's hair would grow back but you remembered the ad!

Valerie - you are absolutely right. The beautiful blue/mauve necklace was a Butler and Wilson one, but it was in a show way back in August 2007 so not sure if it's still available. Do check the web site to see and good luck

Heather - thanks for your comment. Yes the Honora necklace is one that I had from their US collection, although a little bird told me that something not that dissimilar will be coming to the UK in March!!! Watch this space.

Linda Jeffrey

Hi Alison,
Yes, I also know what it is to wear a gum sheild I was doing the exact same thing as you. I still wear it and have had it nearly 2 years I must admit I dont wear it every night as it kinda dulls the passion! Good Luck and persevere with it, Linda x

Julie

Hi Alison
I too have had to wear a gum sheild to bed. I've been wearing it for about 18 months. In fact this is my second-I bit through my first one after 2 nights! But honestly don't worry they're not that bad and you will get used to it. They definitely did the job for for me and try not to stress-I'm a fine one to talk though!

alison keenan

Hi Linda - I agree completely! What with a gum shield, bed socks and gloves over my handcream, my man has to be very determined!! I hope wearing it though has helped with your stress levels and that things are good for you and yours. Thanks for writing - lovely to read your comments

Hi Julie,

It's amazing how many of us there are out there wearing these things! You were unlucky after only 2 nights - and they cost the earth too! I am certainly getting more used to it and my jaw is less sore too now, although I do sometimes wear it in the car cos driving in London can be pretty stressful at times. Just pray no one stops to ask me directions! Do hope life is as stress free as possible for you and yours though, and thanks so much for writing. Have a good weekend.

Hi Heather, Not sure if you'll find this, but I'll make sure to mention it on air, but the TSV from Honora on the 30th March is to be a large black pearl necklace, very similar to the one I wear and you asked about. I thought you might like to get a little advance warning! :)

Julie

Hi Alison
Following on from our previous conversation regarding gum shields and hoping my life was as stress free as possible-well my weekend couldn't have been worse! I was involved in a serious road accident having to be cut free! I am begining to walk again with the aid of a walking stick-good job I wasn't wearing shield then as you sometimes do!
Hoping this weekend will be better-please!

alison keenan

Julie! You poor thing. I am SO sorry to hear about the accident, and thank the Lord that you are up and on the move again. After Sam's accident nearly two years ago, I know how stressful being in hospital can be, but am very relieved to hear that you're on the mend. Please take care of yourself, and let me know how you're doing. I hope you manage to have a Happy Easter.

Love Ali x

Hilary Patterson

Hi Alison

Just to say your skin is looking amazing when you are on the shows what are the products you use your skin just looks so radiant

Hilary

alison keenan

Hilary, how very kind of you! I think it's probably the skin care as well as the make up so here's a little list. Liz Earle's cleanse and polish, then Elemis's Tri Enzyme Skin Wash. I've been trialling the new Gatineau DefiLift 3D Perfect Design Volume Concentrate serum which is rather lovely, and then follow this with Elemis Pro Collagen Marine cream and their pro collagen eye renewal. Neck and decollete always Declerum Aromessence Sculpt! My make up foundation is Bare Minerals and the colour I use is Medium Tan. This always seems to sit evenly on my skin. I do hope this helps and any one of the above we of course sell! Thank you again for your lovely compliment, and thank you for being in touch.

Ali

Hilary, sorry I forgot to mention my skin type is normal/combination, and this mix of products suits it very well. Have a lovely weekend.

Julie

Hi Alison
Thanks for you prompt reply and concern about my accident. I am slowly getting better and am able to walk a few steps without my walking stick-although it's putting pressure on other parts of my body-ie my cracked ribs and other parts of my leg etc. I have to see my GP next week and hopefully start physio shortly as at this point I don't need an MRI scan. It's not just the physical side of things but the mental side. Being carried on a trauma board is the worst experience ever! Not recommended! Also the fear of driving/going in a car is going to be tough. Enough of my problems, hope you and yours are well. Will let you know how I get on next week.
Julie

alison keenan

Thank you for updating me Julie. The more I hear about your accident the more amazed I am to hear that you are up at all! The trauma board by its very name sounds ghastly, and I'm sure the journey by ambulance was none too easy either. My blue light ride with Sam will stay with me always.... It may be worth your while talking to somebody about your concerns and fears re: driving. It's completely understandable, but there are so many professionals who could work through it with you that it may be worth considering when you're ready. I'll look forward to hearing how you get on next week. We're all fine here - I've been all over the place which you can read about when I update my blog this week! Take care Julie,
Ali x

Julie

Hi Ali (again!)
I totally agree with what you say above. The ambulance journey was the longest 20 minutes of my life having to drive slowly incase of any spinal injury. I had a panic attack whilst being taken there. The paramedic thinks I may be suffering from claustrophobia-just another question to ask my GP next week, along with when can I have my hair high lighted as my head has also been glued due to a laceration! I have to try to keep my spirits up and keep going. My high light at the moment was receiving my Liz Earle Beauty products yesterday! How easy am I to please?! Someone was definitely looking down on me that particular day-40 years to the day my Father died and 10 years my Mum- I think that says it all!
Look forward to hearing from you again
Julie

Julia, I too believe in fate and divine intervention, and clearly it was not your time, although the date was probably one you didn't need reminding of in this way! Your GP I'm sure will be very helpful and do take care with the hair colour - that can be very sore for quite some time. I'm so glad that Liz's products cheered you. You need to have something, however small, to lift your spirits, although I think your attitude is enough to lift anyone's spirits. Here's to you and the rest of a good week.

Ali x

Julie

Hi Ali
It's me again! Yes taken everything you've said on board. I do love love Liz Earle have been using her products for 10 years! Loved your shows last night. Keep up the good work.
Julie

Maria Johnson

Hi Alison,
Just wanted to say that I enjoy watching you on your various shows. Is Keenan your maiden name? I am also a Keenan but I was born in Belfast, N. Ireland. Do you have any irish connections? You certainly sound as though you have kissed the Blarney Stone!!!! You are a pleasure to watch and very entertaining. Look forward to seeing you on the screen again soon. Its nice to read your blog and to hear about the hectic life you lead!!

alison keenan

Lovely to hear from you Maria, and Keenan is my married name - although I am now divorced - but the original family name was O'Keefe, three generations back, and we hailed from County Cork. Your comments are very much appreciated, and thank you for taking the time out. I spent many happy years visiting my ex's family in Dublin and in the South of Ireland but I have never ventured North. Perhaps this will be my year :) I'm on again tonight with the Liz Earle launch at midnight, so look forward to your company then. Ali x

hi alison,
could you have a word with your fashion buyers and see if they could get tiana b dresses in larger sizes. the 2xl outlaws us bigger ladies and i believe the actually do a 3xl
also, could you poiibly request a 3xl model on a permanent basis, you do have an xl as it is not easy to imagine the 3xl, lovely though the models are
thank you
christine

Alison Keenan

Hi Christine,

Lovely to hear from you, and yes of course I will have a word with the fashion buyers about sizing for the Tiana B Dresses. I know that this range is fast growing in popularity, and I'm sure they'll be receptive to your request. I know that Kim and Co, and Casual and Co also carry dresses in their ranges and Nina Leonard too - all in 3XL, so maybe have a look online? Thanks very much for writing to me. I hope you'll have a good week.

Amanda

Hi Alison,

I too suffer from awful hayfever and have ever since I can remember. I don't have a weird solution but try cetirizine hydrochloride that you can get from your chemsit over the counter... it's amazing and much better value than the traditional ones you buy as you get more in a pack, they're cheaper and work better!

Lots of Love, Amanda

P.S. You always look FAB-U-LOUS!
