Another week flies by at The Q. Congratulations to Carolyn who was the lucky winner of a signed copy of Lorraine Kelly’s ‘Scotland‘.
Lorraine was an absolute pleasure to meet and is such a naturally warm person, she seemed genuinely fascinated how things were done at the Q and she told me how strange it felt to be answering the questions instead of asking them and working without autocue.
But, as you might expect from the UK’s longest serving daytime presenter, she took it all in her stride. As you can see I look quite possessive of my signed copy! I could have talked to her for the whole show, but time stands for no man or woman at the The Q.
On Tuesday evening, I joined a packed house at my daughter’s school performance of ‘The Sound Of Music’. Ali played Maria and I must say the whole cast and orchestra were outstanding. Obviously my biased eyes were drawn to her and I was bursting with pride throughout – it was a triumph, Darlings!
As well as my wife, son and friends, her grandparents had also driven up to see her perform and this added quite a bit of stress to the occasion for her, which she dealt with admirably – I’ll never know how she remembered all those lyrics and lines and where to be and when – I know I’d still be tongue tied over the lonely goat herd! Well they do say talent misses a generation!
Back to business, tonight, I’ll be launching Saturday’s TSV, which is a new model featuring 3D graphics from leading Sat Nav specialists TomTom – It’s the TomTom GO 400. It features interactive mapping and Lifetime TomTom Traffic (smartphone connected) and much more.
As you might expect it’s a wonderful offer from QVC and a significant saving for customers on the day and we’re including a dedicated case into the offer. So if you’re fed up with getting lost or want to find a quieter route, join me at midnight 🙂
On Saturday and Sunday I’ll be presenting the wonderful range of handcrafted sterling silver from Central America named after the Mexican mountain town of Taxco. Dominique Dinouart designs some stunning pieces and then utilises the skills of the local silversmiths in the town. They still use centuries-old techniques to produce an amazing boutique look at fabulous prices. Catch us for Taxco Traditions on Saturday at 6pm and Sunday at 9pm.
Later on Sunday, following Taxco Traditions, I’ll be launching the amazing H20 X5, back at a brilliant TSV price. This multi-purpose steam cleaner is both a brilliant steam mop and, at the push of a button, becomes a handheld steam cleaner to tackle dozens of household cleaning chores.
The TSV includes an accessory kit and fragrance sachets and is offered on 3 Easy Pays! We have sold many thousands of these wonderful machines on QVC and Monday’s offering will not disappoint. So, if you’ve been promising yourself one or want to know what all the ‘award winning’ fuss is all about – join me at midnight Sunday for the launch with Phil Parker.
Well that’s all for this week – but before I go, for X Factor fans there’s a QVC web exclusive extended video of my chat with last year’s runner up Nicholas McDonald, who popped into The Q during the X Factor tour last week. Catch it here;
