Access all Areas: Will Gowing visits me at home

33

Recently I let our lovely web presenter Will Gowing, who I like to call 'Will I.T', take a peek around my home as part of June Beauty Month: Access all Areas. Plus, he thought you might all like to have a peek at which products I've been testing, which are my favourites at the moment and so on.

Keep an eye on my dog in the clip below, he seems to have a liking for sandwiches…

Omg,how funny was the sandwich thief dog. I have a cat like that – we were making ham sandwiches one day and she snuck up onto the worktop when we weren’t looking and stole a piece of ham out of the packaging! She has also been known to jump up and lick the top of the butter – you daren’t turn your back! But we wouldn’t be without them would we!

Alison it was lovely to have a sneak-peak into your home – it looks so beautiful. Mine too is very cluttered – too much QVC stuff, too little room to put it all! I thought you came across as very charming & your dogs are so cute. We’ve all been there. My cat used to eat a hole through every slice of bread in the loaf & would get to it no matter how high you hid it! Also he got through a block of stilton cheese, and the middle of two fresh pasties. You couldn’t leave him for a moment, but that was when he was little and he’s very well behaved now. He loves marmite & cheese as treats alongside the usual ‘catty’ ones. They all have their own characters don’t they?! Thanks for showing us your home and your lifestyle. It makes me feel more like I know you better :-) Thank you Alison that video really cheered up my day

I wish that the presenters would do more of this type of thing. I’ve often wanted a look at their homes and lifestyles and to get a better understanding of them & their lives. I’d like to see the products they REALLY use & what are their favourite beauty routines & what they do to relax. Please QVC bring us more videos like this one! Let’s send WILL out on a mission to visit every QVC presenters house!! We could call it ‘challenge WILL’ lol.

Your dogs are so funny – how many have you got 3 or 4? We have 2 Alaskan Malamutes – they dont steal from the kitchen but beware if you leave food anywhere else – they just assume its theirs!

Alison Young, you are hysterical….it’s a rather different kitchen to the one I first ever set foot in, remember I came round en route from mummy’s to see if my wedding make-up would pass!!! Not enough were your words!!! Rarely do I hear that. I cannot believe he pinched 3 times!!!! Chaos and madness , always good to see!

Loved the video, thanks for letting us see you’re lovely house and dogs, especially the sandwich stealing one, but the bit that made me laugh the most was when dogs were walking on settee as Alison was talking.Rita

    Alison,
I loved the video, you cannot help but laugh at the sandwich thief. I have nine working dogs, all kennelled out accept one who lives in the house and my young pup, but can imagine that is what would happen if they were in my kitchen. You certainly love your animals like me, they make your day dont they, never a dull moment with them.

Hi Ali, Thanks for a sneaky peak into your home life. Your dogs are beautiful, charming and very naughty!! The video was hillariously funny, not just the stealing of the sandwiches but the way they were in the back ground whilst you were talking to Will, climbing over the back of the chair and onto your lovely sofa! Your home is stunning and you are so down to earth but professional too. It would be great to take a peak into some of the other presenters lives a bit too.
    Love Wendy

Thank you so much Alison for letting us see your lovely home. It is very generous of you to let us invade your private space. However I think you were definitely up-staged by your dogs, who very entertaining. Give the dogs a big hug from me.

Thank you so much. Apart from the video being hilarious, it was so lovely to be allowed access into Alison’s home. It was exactly as I expected – a home not just a house – beautiful, but chocked full of essential products, new things yet to come combined with her personal memories and a lot of love. If anyone new to QVC was in doubt what a genuine lady Alison is, I think that after watching this they would take her to their hearts as much as myself and the other QVC customers have done. We admire her. not just for her encyclopedic knowledge of all things “beauty,” but also for her honesty and caring spirit.

    Hi Ali
Thank you for allowing the QVC viewers into your home. It is so nice seeing a home that is lived in, where you just plonk things down…not one of the ‘show homes’ that everyone has these days. A woman to my own heart.
I especially loved the display cabinet where you kept you grandad’s screwdriver. I have my grandad’s awl, which must be of a similar age. It’s such a shame that a lot of people don’t have their sentimental things on display these days.
My other half Chris, thinks I’ve got loads of bottles all over the place…can’t wait to show him your bathroom. Hopefully that will keep him quiet about my stash lol!
Love the ‘butty pincher’, very funny! So glad that my little Westie ‘Bobby’ can’t reach the work tops, although I do have a lovely photo of him sat on the floor looking up at me whilst I was putting his ‘roasty dinner’ out!
    Thanks again Ali
    love
    Annette x
