With Beauty Month in full swing we've been giving you access to some of your favourite faces from the world of skincare and cosmetics. We caught up with Jemma Kidd to find out her backstage make-up secrets…
"With everyone living such busy lives these days and seemingly always being in a rush, it’s sometimes hard to dedicate much time to creating a specific look for work.
So, as well as picking up some handy little hints as to how to look fresh and glamorous quickly and easily, I found that backstage at shows (even at the hallowed studios of QVC), that less is always more!
These days, there’s absolutely no need to hide behind layers of concealer when you can correct dark circles and redness, and create a radiant glow with easy-to-use colour correctors or one-stop concealers like Mally Cancellation Conditioning Concealer. Just blend into the areas you need it the most, and you’re ready for foundation!
Another great one, when eye make-up has been taken on and off repeatedly, models’ eyes can tend to start looking tired. So a really handy trick for weary eyes is to use flesh-toned eyeliner, such as Jemma Kidd I-Perfector Prep & Brighten Duo on the inner rim to reduce redness and make eyes appear wider and fresher. It’s the perfect instant pick-me-up!
If you’re running low on your favourite blusher, or don’t have an appropriate shade to suit your look, a lipstick or gloss can be used on cheeks for a pretty, dewy look. However, a super-fast and gorgeous blush is the Daniel Sandler Watercolour Blush with Brush. It’s amazing for a youthful-looking complexion.
After applying, simply blot for a subtle, long-lasting colour. Smashbox Lip Stain & Balm would look fab on both lips and cheeks.
And for a five-minute express beauty boost, try enveloping your face in a towel filled with ice cubes! Perking-up your mind and skin, you’ll feel fresher, more awake and ready to face whatever’s coming your way."
