Hope you are all well. With the leaves changing colour on the trees and the mornings feeling that bit crisper, it's definitely starting to feel like autumn. With that in mind, this week I'm reliving a little bit of the summer and writing about a few days spent in Dorset with my beloved mum, sister and niece.
As you may have heard me say before, Dorset is one of my favourite places – in the world! I love it and out of the three days we stayed there we were blessed with two days of wonderful weather.
The first sunny day we spend on Bournemouth beach, which was great fun – in and out of the sea with Jasmine and buidling a million sandcastles. Then on the second sunny day we sent to Studland beach; my mum and sister had never been there and I think they like myself many years ago fell in love with it instantly!
To beat the queues on the ferry we got a really early start so we were on the beach, pegged out and covered in Ultrasun by about 9.30am and we didn't leave until about 6pm! Not all that time was spent in the sun though, plently of breaks in the sea, in the cafe and taking a long walk along the shore – bliss! You can even see Ben in the photos – my nieces toy husky – he got taken into the sea so had to be hung up to dry in the Dorset sun!
As well as being in Dorset, just being with my family was so wonderful; it was so sad having to go back to Bristol to then say goodbye. Still, lots of happy memores made and great photos taken on the Fuji!
The only downside was the caravan we stayed in, it did leave a lot to be desired, very tired and not up to scratch especially in the bedding department, problem is I'm just too used to Northern Nights!
Do you know Dorset at all? Any recommendations for my next trip? Would love to hear from you!
