A weekend in Cornwall, Vitamix crazy and let Christmas begin!!

Craig on winter walkHello there!!

I really hope you are well and having a good week. I have had a great couple of weeks, busy as ever, sometimes even I wonder where I get all my energy from!! Haha!!

I had a weekend down in Cornwall with my extended family. We always have fun, and as well as lovely bright winter walks and pub lunches we also had some work to do!

Clearing the garden of the many leaves was Sunday’s task – see me getting busy in the photo as well as the blue sky on a lovely winter walk.

QVC has been great and super busy – one of the highlights has to be co-hosting the big Tova Christmas show. She is such an elegant, wonderful lady and I was rather proud of my dress sense for that show.

I wore a new navy suit (chosen as always by oneyou.co.uk) and added touches of red with my pocket square and tie clip to co-ordinate with the lady herself.

I seem to have a thing for red at the moment, maybe it’s the darker days. I love my new red bobble hat too, what do you think?

I finally got my Vitamix on watilist after the first TSV arrived a couple of weeks ago and have been busy trying out different receipes on that. It is a brilliant machine, so far my favourites are the Thai veg soup, Glowing Green smoothie (left) and Craig’s Vanilla Banana Surprise (right), I am hoping all this goodness will ward of the winter coughs and colds!

Craig as Santa

This weekend saw the beginning of December and I celebrated by having a little drinks party with friends. It was also the deadline for my ‘Craig is ready for Christmas’ goal and I can safely say both were a success; the party was a real laugh with mulled wine, minced pies and lots of bubbly.

As for my deadline, other than a couple of pressies for the kids and a few Christmas cards, I am done and this year I don’t even have the worry of wrapping as everything is going in Giftmate bags (check them out on QVC website) – hurrah, I have never been so organised!!

Craig as Santa with elfHope you like the photos of the party and, as you can see, a certain Santa Claus even made an appearance!!

How are you getting on with your Christmas prep and are you doing much shopping on QVC?

Finally, as so many of you asked for a funny or behind-the-scenes picture at the end of my blog this week, this is from guest auditions yesterday; we were auditioning guests to represent the Hairdo by Ken Paves range of hairpiece and wigs.

Craig and Tina

In the photo you can see myself and guest manager, Tina, having a giggle and seeing how I looked with hair.

What do you think, can you imagine Craigey with lovely soft curls?! Haha!

Have a great week and do please post a comment below, I love hearing from you!

Big big hugs
Craig xxx

    Hello Mr Craig
What a great blog as always!! I too am pretty much ready for the festive season – all presents are bought – I will need to wrap but I quite enjoy that part, except when my other hands hands me bags and bags on Christmas Eve to do his wrapping (at least he manages to wrap mine – although rarely takes the price tags off!). Christmas tree goes up this weekend which is very exciting as my tradition is to watch Miracle on 34th Street whilst doing so, that and any version of The Christmas Carol are my favorite Christmas films!!
Off to Rochester tomorrow for the Dickens Christmas festival – can’t wait – should be good fun.
You looked gorgeous for the Tova show but then you pretty much do always!!! (well when we see you that is ;-)).
Your “green” smoothie looks horrible :-)
    Lots of love Craigy

Hi Craig got your message and hope it’s not to cold down there and your trees and pots are still in your garden after the storms

    Hi Craig,
I LOVE all of the pictures – your suit looks fabulous and I especially love you bobble hat, it looks very festive and it will definitely keep you warm! :)
I put up my Christmas decorations on the 1st December, and me and my sister Chloe had Christmas Yankee Candles burning to get us in the festive mood – they smelt BEAUTIFUL!
The highlight of my week – My husband Stephen and I booked a holiday for next year to celebrate our first wedding anniversary at the beginning of June next year. We’re going back to Center Parcs where we had our honeymoon, and even staying in the same lodge, I can’t wait! :D
Hope you are well, sending you lots of love and hugs! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Megan

    Hi Craig,
Just to say I love your shows. You’re always so friendly! I was one of your fans from the ‘find a presenter competition’, perhaps it was the lovely West Country accent as I’ve lived there most of my life (we have to support the locals!) I live in Cornwall so hope you really enjoyed your break down here. Best Wishes, Susiex

    Hi Craig
A fun and informative blog as usual. You seem to always have such a fun packed life. It is always nice to read your stories and share your pictures. You are one of my favourite presenters and always check the guide to see what shows you are presenting.
I am currently working from home and melting a cranberry ice wax melt in my electric melt warmer. The smell is wafting through the house and getting me in the mood for Christmas.
Keep up the good work and enjoy the festive season.
