Our blustery, mild, wet autumn continues – am I the only one who is now craving some crisp, cold, frosty winter days? Forecasters were predicting one of the coldest winters in decades but no sign of it yet. Come on, winter!
Anyway, regardless of the weather, life has been crazy busy recently – at work, where the run-up to Christmas is always our most frantic time, and also outside work, where I’ve been delighted by the great response to my debut novel which was published just over three weeks ago. Cotswold Style Magazine, which covered my book launch party, gave it a lovely full page spread, which is a really nice souvenir.
And then, my incredibly talented friend Dione, who designs bespoke silver jewellery, made this gorgeous pendant for me, using elements from my book cover. I LOVE it!!
In my last blog I mentioned that I’d had the pleasure of interviewing Il Divo recently for the second time. The interview went to air this week – if you missed it, here you go, have a watch. Their new album, Amor & Pasion, is available now.

I’ve also been trying out some gorgeous, snuggly, keep-you-warm items (another reason I want some proper cold weather!). On Friday 20th, our Today’s Special Value offer will be a pair of super self fleece pyjamas from Carole Hochman.
They really are divinely comfortable, and would make a great Christmas gift – there’s nothing nicer than new PJ’s to wake up in on Christmas Day.
And, as my love affair with Cozee Home shows no signs of abating, I was also thrilled to be asked to try out the latest Today’s Special Value offer from the range, coming up on Tuesday 24th November.
It’s a fabulous zip up wrap AND matching throw. I took the polka dot set home to try and was oh-so-snug cuddling up in them in front of the TV (I also couldn’t resist doing a bit of twirling in the wrap…!).
By the way, the little furry, chocolate brown beauty I’m holding in that photo isn’t a hot water bottle – it’s the fantastic re-chargeable heat pod we’ve had on air a few times. It’s the modern alternative to a hot water bottle – it heats up in five minutes and stays hot for hours. A great gift idea if there’s someone you love who uses hot water bottles but you’re concerned about them burning themselves and so on.
Right, I’m about to go on air and I still have curlers in my hair. Onwards!
