A trip to Lotte’s Kitchen

Craig and Lotte Hi there!

Just thought I'd share with you my recent trip to Lotte's Kitchen in Chinor, Oxfordshire.

As some of you may know, I'm very good friends with Lotte Duncan, who's a cook, a foodie and an amazing gardener.

As well as penning her first book last year, 'Lotte's Kitchen', which is a top-seller already, she's now also opened a fab cafe by the same name.

Lotte gets busy baking I wasn't able to make the grand opening so nipped over a couple of weeks ago for one of her cookery demonstrations and it was a wonderful afternoon!

As well as being greeted with copious amounts of tea and lots of homemade cake (Victoria sponge, choc orange cheesecake and strawberry cup cakes) One of Lotte's tasty cakes we then enjoyed an afternoon of Lotte's cooking, where she made tear and share cheesy bread, lamb and feta burgers, sweet and crunchy chicken bites, cheese and tomato tart (to die for!) and my favourite – lavender and strawberry cheesecake. Needless to say by the time we left we were all well fed!!

Hope you like the photos, isn't it just a wonderful, cheerful place? I am hoping to head over again soon Lotte's Kitchen and curl up on the sofa for a wonderful afternoon tea!

What's your favourite way of passing an afternoon?

Hi Craig , If it’s a dark, wet afternoon it’s heaven to come home, kick your shoes off! Light a candle, put some music on and have a chill out with a hot cuppa and piece of cake reading a few chapters of a book ! No clock watching, having 40 winks then watching a DVD later in the evening ! Ahhhhhh lovely.Specially if it’s winter time. What more could one ask. Also may I say what a great guy you are,so honest with everything that you present on your shows. You are a credit to QVC ! It’s an honour to watch the shows you present.

    Hi Craig,
I’ve just come home from my other half’s and guess what was waiting for me? Lotte’s Country Kitchen! I wish I’d ordered it when it came out as the recipes, pictures and words in there are gorgeous. My favourite way of passing an afternoon would be to go to Lotte’s and bake with her in her kitchen, then sit back and enjoy what we’d made with a nice cup of coffee! Her’s is the first recipe book I’ve ever seen where I really want to try ALL of the recipes! When I do I’ll take some pics and put them on FB lol. Other than that, I like nothing better than to curl up with a good book and a cappucino (made with my Ilio coffee machine) and light a vanilla or coconut Yankee candle, then follow that with a soak in an Elemis Milk Bath. Take care and cya on the Q soon hun :o) Hugs, Caz xxxx

I have been lucky enough to spend lots of time with Lotte although normally its eating and watching her baking – occasionally I do pick up the rolling pin!!
