A trip to France and a passion for fashion!

Bike ride

Hi there, I hope you are well and looking forward to this wonderful Jubilee weekend?  I am at QVC on Sunday and Monday, so after work on both days I will head to the Thames and then central London to soak up the festivities!!

As promised last week I did say I would tell you more about my trip to France; it was wonderful! I have a friend Wendy who lives about an hour south of Toulouse, we have been friends since uni so we have known each other over 20 years!

She has a little boy called Lewis who is 9 (same age as my niece Jasmine) who I was so happy to be recognised by as I hadn't been to visit for 3 years. Apparently he watches me with his mum online on QVC!

Cleo the catWendy and her partner have built an amazing house in a little French village called Belflou, with a beautiful garden that overlooks acres of French countryside – it really is paradise!  She also has a very sweet cat called Cleo, and a very affectionate French bull dog called Enzo who I also fell in love with, he just loves cuddles!

FranceFor our long weekend there we enjoyed long walks, a cycle ride by the canal, a visit to the medieval city of Carcassone and lots of wonderful food – Wendy is an amazing cook! We also happened to be there at the time of the annual village party; it was great fun to meet Wendy's neighbours and to practice my French. Lots of yummy food, especially the homemade tarte tatin that several people brought, of course I had to try a slice of each!!

ModelsThen last week I was involved in a charity fashion show at the Hurlingham Club which was organised by QVC model and all round wonderful woman Goodey.  It was pretty nerve racking taking to the catwalk as a model!  There were mainly professional models doing the show with a few extra volunteers involved, including myself and Miceal from QVC.  The theme was "Mad Hatters" and the event was hugely successful raising tens of thousands of pounds for a fantastic cause.

Striking a poseIn the photos you can see Tanya, who you will recognise as a QVC model, looking totally amazing in that dress and hat, and also a photo of myself, Miceal and Adam in our designer gear. I was wearing Gucci and Marc Jacobs – get me!!  The photos were taken on the upcoming Fuji bridge camera that is a TSV this Sunday (3rd June) – a dream to use and what great photos it takes, even on auto mode.

Have a great Jubilee weekend and I'll post some pics of what I got up to next week.

Much love,

Craig x
