a spot of diy and some great offers this weekend

Hello there! Thanks for dropping by, I hope you are all well?!

This week I’ve been in a bit of a de-clutter and freshen up kind of mood. My husband always gets a bit twitchy when this happens as he isn’t good with change!! He also doesn’t like to throw anything out. I just can’t bear it though when the house gets on tops of me.

We also had our bathroom ceiling re- plastered a while ago and ever since it’s been a sort of light brown with the new spotlights hanging out of their spots just waiting for us to get it painted. So seeing as this past weekend was the first in a while that I was at home for two days on the trot this was my chance. Step ladder out, old PJ’s on, roller at the ready.

Fred was on duty with our girls as this is definitely a job that I actually enjoy doing and Fred doesn’t! I’m so pleased to finally get it done, although we still need the electrician to come and fix the spots in properly and then it really is job done.
DIY morning completed, it was then time for me to give Tilda some one on one time. As many of you know, once you have more than one child they don’t always get extra special one on one time so I do try when we have the opportunity. She was so looking forward to her ‘treat day’.

The kids Katy with Tilda

I took her to the theatre with some friends and their children to see the touring performance of ‘The Homeless Panda’. It was such a lovely play performed with puppets and actors and the kids all got to interact at various points and the message was one of looking past our differences and accepting each other for who we are.

After the show we got to have a play with some of the puppets and meet the cast which the kids loved. After that we headed to Sprinkles Gelato for some giant ice creams! Sunday was a chance for Ivy to get a treat too when we all went to Wild and Wacky at the swimming centre. Seeing the kids laugh as much as they do when they go swimming is such a treat, even if we do have to endure the madness of family changing rooms!!

So what’s coming up at QVC I hear you ask? Well, we have the new No!No! Micro Hair removal system coming your way as the Today’s Special Value offer launching at midnight Saturday/Sunday. I’ve used the No!No! before and was impressed with it. It’s easy to use and helps keep the hair on my arms at bay!

BeforeAfter

Being dark haired I’ve always been a bit self-conscious of my arms but as you can see from my before and after photos it’s left them pretty hair free. If used regularly you will really see a difference in the re-growth too. I will also put my hands up and say I use mine on my upper lip! You use the smaller attachment for this, and it’s so much easier than going to a salon for a wax and far less painful that’s for sure and it’s so quick. You just run the No!No! over the area four or five times and it’s job done, hair gone. You can finish off with the buffer to remove any little hairs that haven’t come away.

So what do you feel? Well you will feel some warmth on the skin but it’s not uncomfortable. The first time you use it particularly on your face you might flinch but that’s just while you get used to it. The No!No! is zapping the hair right to the root so don’t be surprised if you smell a feint aroma.

As someone who has spent a fortune over the years on razors, creams and waxing this is a game-changer. I particularly like the new Micro design. It’s discreet and pops right in a handy little pouch to keep it tidy. The great thing about QVC is of course our 30-day money back guarantee, even if you’ve used it – so this is definitely worth a try if you haven’t got one already.

So that’s Sunday’s TSV, but I’m also very excited because on Sunday night I will be launching Monday’s Lulu Guinness TSV. I am a big fan of her bags and am lucky to own one myself. I of course got mine from QVC but did indeed use Easy Pay. It was my treat to myself for becoming a presenter on the main channel at QVC. The Today’s Special Value is a style you may recognise. It’s a new smaller version of the ‘Bella’. We have it in Coral print, Mink print, Black print, Porcelain and Navy. The print is so fabulous as it’s lots of little Lulu Guinness lips. It has two handles but also a cross-body strap attachment too. Can’t wait for launch night, I hope to see you there.

So that’s it from me for now, as always keep up with what I’m up to on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. I love sharing pics from behind the scenes at QVC, mainly on my Instagram so make sure to check it out if you like.

Lots of love Katy x
