A Northern Nights TSV that’s perfect for these balmy summer nights

Craig tries out his new summer weight duvet from Northern Nights Hi there, hope you have had a good week.

I've been off for a few days, but I'm back in for the weekend and am particularly looking forward to Sunday night. Debbie Flint and I are launching a brand new event 'Only on QVC', a whole day of shows featuring products that yes, you've guessed it, you can only buy on QVC.

Over the day you will find Gale Hayman, Kings Realm Premium Food, Diamonique to name but a few, as well as my two personal favourite only-on-QVC brands – cook's essentials and Northern Nights.

Now, talking of Northern Nights… it's time for another Northern Nights TSV, hurrah! Have you been having trouble sleeping on these warmer summer nights, finding that your regular duvet is just too much but sleeping in just a sheet is too chilly in the night?

Do you like the idea of having a fresh healthy sleep every night? Then you will LOVE the TSV – it's a summer weight down duvet featuring a silver finish on the cover making it cleaner, fresher and even inhibiting the growth of bacteria.

I've had my summer weight duvet on my bed for the last week or so and really love it. When I first opened the box I was struck by it's beautiful delicate weight, almost like a strand of cloud. The cover is a stunning 230 thread count and the filling is evenly distributed in a brand new double box stitch design, so your perfect summer insulation remains exactly where it should.

I had really been struggling with sleeping on these warmer nights; as much as I love my regular down duvet, it's more of a year round warmth-giver and I was finding it just a little too warm. And the nights I had slept with just a sheet I would wake up in the middle of the night shivering. Also, I like the weight of having something over me in bed, so a sheet is never going to be enough!

It has also been wonderful to sleep under a brand new duvet feeling so fresh and clean and on these warmer nights or if you are a hot sleeper, it's great to know the duvet has this amazing silver finish on the cover. Silver is a natural anti-microbial, and yes, it is really silver that's woven into a amazingly fine thread so the duvet cover is still blissfully soft; it's quite incredible!

If you ever want to freshen it up even more it can go in the wash and because of its size it's quite possible to do this in your washing machine at home. It's also virtually allergen free as the down has been hyper cleaned, a process that only QVC demands!

One thing I would add though, don't think this is just thin with no insulation as that's definitely not the case; it still has a high 550 fill power of down giving you great insulation but in a lofty, dreamy way as opposed to heavy cheaper feather products you might find on the high street.

Craig with his new summer duvet in Northern Nights white bed linen You'll end up getting so much use out of this duvet. You can use it all summer long and possibly in the spring or milder autumns too. Then in the winter, why not use it with your medium or heavy duvet and add even more warmth to keep you cosy on even the coldest of nights?

After admiring the duvet for a good while I decided to drape it in one of my Northern Nights white bedding sets – I have to say it has created the perfect summer bedroom!

I'll be launching the TSV with my darling Susie Adams on Sunday night at midnight, so I hope you can join us.

See you then!
Happy sleeping,
