Hope you are well, and as this is the first blog of 2011 (naughty me!), a belated Happy New Year and hopes that 2011 is being good to you so far.
My January was pretty hectic, like many people I am always pretty tired in January, not much daylight and spring feels a million miles away and I always forget how hectic a month it is as its my Mum, Dad and niece's birthdays all within the space of a week – so I've been to Bristol twice as well as a trip to Cornwall, so there was lots of running around.
The highlight was definitely the trip to Bristol on my parents' birthday weekend. It was my Mum's 60th this year so a very special birthday for her to celebrate. On the weekend itself we all went to a lovely restaurant for lunch and then met friends for drinks in the evening.
As well as the birthday it was also great to spend some time with my beloved niece Jasmine; we played Frisbee on the square by my sister's flat where you can see Jasmine modelling her favourite Emus (even though she is only 8 she takes a size 3 in adults!) and we also had a game or two of Mousetrap that I had bought for Jasmine. You can see myself, Jasmine and Steve (my sister's fiance) attempting to set it up, I'd forgotten how complicated these things are to get working!
Been great to see so much of my family lately and in a couple of weeks time we are also taking a family holiday; for a special treat for my wonderul Mum and after 4 years of saving I am treating my family to a Caribbean cruise! So excited and I promise I will share the photos and stories with you…
Would love to hear from you, please leave a comment and let me know how 2011 is for you so far and perhaps any tips on what we should do to get the best from our cruise?
Till next time,
