A happy (belated) New Year!

Jasmine in her favourite EMU boots Hi there,

Hope you are well, and as this is the first blog of 2011 (naughty me!), a belated Happy New Year and hopes that 2011 is being good to you so far.

My January was pretty hectic, like many people I am always pretty tired in January, not much daylight and spring feels a million miles away and I always forget how hectic a month it is as its my Mum, Dad and niece's birthdays all within the space of a week – so I've been to Bristol twice as well as a trip to Cornwall, so there was lots of running around.

The highlight was definitely the trip to Bristol on my parents' birthday weekend. It was my Mum's 60th this year so a very special birthday for her to celebrate. On the weekend itself we all went to a lovely restaurant for lunch and then met friends for drinks in the evening.

Steve, Craig and Jasmine play Mousetrap As well as the birthday it was also great to spend some time with my beloved niece Jasmine; we played Frisbee on the square by my sister's flat where you can see Jasmine modelling her favourite Emus (even though she is only 8 she takes a size 3 in adults!) and we also had a game or two of Mousetrap that I had bought for Jasmine. You can see myself, Jasmine and Steve (my sister's fiance) attempting to set it up, I'd forgotten how complicated these things are to get working!

Been great to see so much of my family lately and in a couple of weeks time we are also taking a family holiday; for a special treat for my wonderul Mum and after 4 years of saving I am treating my family to a Caribbean cruise! So excited and I promise I will share the photos and stories with you…

Would love to hear from you, please leave a comment and let me know how 2011 is for you so far and perhaps any tips on what we should do to get the best from our cruise?

Till next time,
Much love,
Craig. x.

dear craig… just wanted to wish you ‘bon voyage’ for a wonderful trip to the carribbean with your family. It will be special because you will all be together as a family! How kind and considerate of you to have taken your mum and family. Your mum has a son in a million and is very lucky! However, you only reap what you sow, so she too must be a wonderful women! I spoke to you fairly recently in a craft hour craig and for me it was like speaking to an old friend. You have that ‘gift’ which makes you such a special presenter! Do not ever give up the day job, as I would miss your cheery, smiley face! Lots of love, Helen x

hi Helen, Caz J, Janice and Sylvia!
Apoloigies for the delay in responding to your comments. Thanks so much for your kind words.
The Cruise was truly a holiday of a lifetime and my mum loved it which was, for me the most important thing and all that I had wished for.
There will be some photos on this blog in the next couple of days, so hope you like them.
Hope you are all well and sending big hugs,
