I’d just thought I’d check back with news of my Halloween tree! I know thousands of you bought the Alison Cork tree TSV and we had a lot of viewers that missed out as it sold out so early. I said on air that it was a shame to use it just as a Christmas decoration, so I used it for my daughter’s Halloween party. It really looked great draped in skulls, hairy hands and cobwebs – in fact it was a very sophisticated Halloween, even though my daughter decided to be a zombie prom queen!
I was also very proud this year’s pumpkin carving. You see so many amazing pumpkin carvings and I don’t know how they are done because I find it really hard to do but I was pleased with my result. He was quite a friendly looking chap and the green LED light I put inside was really effective.
Now I did promise to come up with some Christmas gift ideas and I thought I’d start with the boys. First on my list is the men’s robe by Stan Herman, which is the men’s range of Carole Hochman and has that same Heavenly Sleepwear quality. It comes in four colours; the Charcoal is my favourite but they are all gorgeous, and it is so plush and snugly and at £38.64 it’s a fab price (although that is an introductory offer, so not sure how long that will be around). If you want a laugh take a look at the presentation online and you’ll see Dale strutting his stuff on the catwalk! It’s hysterical, he has got the hip wiggle and everything. He would be a great model for ladies’ wear!!
A couple of other little things for the guys are the Elemis grooming set and the Pecksniff’s 5-piece shave set. At just £19.50 and £20 they are both ready to give, the Elemis set in a drawstring bag and the Pecksniff’s set in a lovely black box.
Both would be ideal as stocking fillers or a main gift for those awkward-to-buy-for men, maybe even teenagers that have just started shaving. But I know both sets are really popular, so don’t leave it too long!
Some ideas for the ladies next time.
