A Goose for Christmas!

4

Cassidy and Mother GooseWell, hopefully everyone is embracing the onset of Christmas by now! I must admit that I love Christmas time and get a lot of pleasure out of choosing gifts for everyone. I do find that organization is the key – there is nothing worse than rushing around at the last minute desperately trying to find just anything because you have run out of time.

We have some fantastic ideas for gifts at QVC and it’s such an easy way of shopping, I love feeling Christmassy but I hate the crowds in the shops at this time of year. I’d much rather meet my friends for a cappuccino and a mince pie safe in the knowledge that all my shopping was being delivered.

The show that I did with my daughter last month went really well, the school raised lots of money for charity and after a couple of doses of Nurofen I survived, but definitely time to retire now I think!

Cassidy, however, is going from strength to strength and after auditioning for Pantomime is now appearing in Mother Goose over Christmas, which she is really enjoying. I started in the theatre in Pantomime when I was 13 so at 8 Cassidy has a head-start on me.

I have watched some of the rehearsals and it looks really good. I do love pantomimes – some of those old jokes are just the best. “Oh yes they are!” Anyway I’ll let you know how it goes and good luck with all your Christmas preparations. Remember to let QVC take the stress out of your Christmas shopping!

Until next time,

Jillyx

    Hi Jilly,
You certainly have a budding actress in your family,as long as your daughter keeps enjoying what she’s doing good for her. I think it’s lovely to watch children in pantomime, may be my little grandson who is 2 1/2 yrs at the moment will do the same one day.Would Cassidy like to be an actress when she is older.

    Hi Jilly,
What a lovely photo of Cassidy! It’s lovely she is following in your footsteps and as Kathy says as long as she’s happy that’s the main thing! Hope you all have a lovely Christmas and that 2013 is a better year for everyone,
    Susan x

    Hi Jilly
Both my daughters appeared in pantos in Nottingham when they were younger – the elder of the two now runs her own small (but growing rapidly) dance school while the younger is her teaching assistant. Their first panto was Mother Goose too at the Nottingham Playouse followed by Peter Pan and Cinderella at the Theatre Royal. I was a chaperone at them and I can safely say that these Christmases were probably the happiest and exciting ever! Tell Cassidy to make the most of her time appearing in them. Of course, having time off school added to the enjoyment!
    Have a Happy Christmas
    Love Sue, Nottingham
