Cracking offers for Easter

5

Once again I am working all four days over Easter but I don’t really mind as we have some cracking good Today’s Special Value offers for you, in fact, you could call them eggscellent!

Our Good Friday offer is from lovely songstress Lulu’s Time Bomb and on Saturday we are making sure your feet are comfy with our Skechers Todya’s Special Value, but it’s Sunday I wanted to draw your attention to.

We are, once again (I think it could be for the eighth or ninth time) featuring the Dyson Hot/Cool fan as the Today’s Special Value. I’m a huge ‘fan’ of this product, both at home and at work. I have two at home, one in the kitchen and one in my writing room in the attic. Our house was built in 1896 and the area we currently use as the kitchen was originally a scullery I think. It is freezing cold in the winter and boiling hot in the summer so my Dyson fan has been an absolute saviour for me. In the recent snow we only had to have it on for about ten minutes or so to take the chill off the room, although I left it on longer most days as our elderly cat, Poppy (23 in June), spends a lot of her time in there.

I’ve made very good use of the one up in my writing room over the past nine days while I’ve been off from QVC. Instead of going away, I decided I really needed to get on with writing my fifth novel, and I’m pleased to say that not only did I write 19,000 words, I also finalised the plot – I had been dithering between two different scenarios.

To write that many words, I have had a couple of eight-hour days at the computer and I can get very cold sat it the same position, particularly my feet. The Dyson fan is brilliant, not only can I turn it on and off as needed with the remote control, I can also angle it to my feet or spread the warmth to the rest of the room. Honestly, I can’t speak highly enough of it and I simply couldn’t be without it in the dressing room I share with Katy at QVC. It has a wall of windows so is boiling in the summer and freezing in the winter, despite the heating being on in the building – especially when we’re stripping down to our undies!

Incidentally, I had a thorough clear out of my side of the dressing room the day before my break started and I’ve come back in today not knowing where anything is! I’m going to try very hard to keep it tidier from now on – good intentions, and all that.

Of course, not only is it Easter on Sunday, it is also 1st April so the start of a new gemstone month. I will feature diamonds on next week’s blog (in more ways than one) – we have some amazing designs coming your way at pretty good prices. It’s also April Fool’s Day on Sunday, so don’t be fooled by some of the things you might read.

As it’s the start of a new month, it also means a new Beauty Product of the Month and I have to say I really couldn’t be without Ultrasun SPF 30 for the body with the tan activator in it. We went to Antigua in January on holiday but only for a week, and when your skin hasn’t seen the sunshine for months on end there is a temptation to stay in the sun too long in order to get a tan, and then you burn.

If that sounds like you, please try the factor 30 with Tan Activator – I swear by it. Your skin appears to tan more quickly so you can stay out of the midday sun and the more damaging rays, yet still get a tan.

This photo was taken the day after I got back from my holiday. Not only is the product amazing, so is our Beauty POM offer – it’s double the normal size and – as usual with our monthly beauty picks – there’s no P&P to pay.

A note of caution, read the application instructions and don’t think because it’s once a day application that it means you can lie in the sun all day – not that you need to with the Tan Activator element! I use the one for the Face too and it’s one of my all time favourite Ultrasun products.

Must dash, but can’t go without mentioning Monday’s Today’s Special Value too – I don’t want it to feel left out. If your lawn has seen better days, treat it to a bit of Richard Jackson’s Lawn Magic.

Well, as I mentioned, I’m working the whole of Easter, but I hope you have some time off to spend with friends and/or family. Do remember the offer on Clearance priced items continues until 23.59 on 8th April – buy three to get a £10 voucher code to spend on your next QVC purchase before the end of April.

Much love
Julia x

Hi Julia – great blog as ever ….. Mmmm diamonds – can’t wait! Also can’t wait for your new book. Will it be ready for the Summer (I’m thinking holidays – “Alice” saved me last year as I am a nightmare lying by a pool). My rejoicing about all things green afforded me a truly gorgeous large green Lola Rose bracelet for Mothers day from my 2 wonderful “boys” (22 & 18!). I am beyond delighted! Can’t wait to hear more about the book. Take care & get some rest. Wishes Tanya x
