A busy week ahead and an exciting upcoming TSV!

Red sky in the morningHello!

Brrrrrrrrrrr, it's so cold at the moment! I simply love the weather we've been having recently. The ice scraper for the car has been working overtime as well!

I hope you like the photo. I snapped it early in the morning from our bedroom window; the sky was just a blaze of colour.

It reminded me of a saying… 'Red sky at night, shepherds delight… red sky in the morning, shepherds warning.' I'm not sure of the origin of the saying (shepherds, I'm guessing!) and is there any truth in this? We've had a fair few red skies in the morning recently, followed by a day of glorious, albeit cold, sunshine for the rest of the day!

Acer laptopI mentioned in my last blog how I planned to repair the shed roof with my Dad. Well, we bought the materials… and the materials are still sitting in the garage! Dad and I were having too much fun eating out and seeing War Horse at the cinema, which, by the way, he really enjoyed.

In fact it was the first time Dad has been to the cinema in 20 years! It's a great film, I highly recommend it, and if you get the chance to go… don't forget the popcorn!

It's another busy week here at QVC! Looking ahead to this weekend I have a fabulous TSV which I'm launching this Saturday at midnight (21st Jan) and it's from Acer. It's a brand we highly respect and are so proud to feature here at QVC. In fact, the last laptop I bought from QVC was an Acer and that too, was a Today's Special Value.

Well, this TSV is very special. The Acer computer (pictured above) has power and performance. It includes; a huge 750GB of storage (I can only imagine how many photos and video files that will store!), plus 8 GB of RAM and It's all packed into an astonishing 14 inch laptop, making it even lighter and even more portable!

Saturday night at midnight, I hope you can join me… between now and then I must fix that shed roof!

Take care

Charlie x

Ps. I'm also launching the Veronese TSV the very next night, Sunday night at midnight. Such a pretty piece of jewellery. You may have seen some of the girls wearing it on air this week already! x

Happy new year to you and all at QVC towers Charlie. Just caught you presenting the Heavenly Sleepwear show by Carole Hochman and correct me if i’m wrong but have you coloured your hair? I am sure it never used to be that dark or is it the cameras playing tricks on me? Of course there is absolutely nothing wrong in a man dying his luscious locks and after all as the saying goes ‘it’s because your worth it’ but i think there is an appeal when a chap is au naturel & looks rather distinguished when grey flecks start to appear. You don’t need to reach for the dreaded bottle Charlie & be proud that you will soon be competeing for the QVC towers presenter title of…….THE SILVER FOX! love sharon from leicester x

Hello Sharon, thanks for your reply.
I think I should watch some of the show back and check out my hair! No, there’s no dye on my hair, and I doubt there ever will be..! Sometimes hair product can make my hair look a little darker, maybe that was it?
I’ve had a touch of grey coming through for years now!
    Take care

Hi Charlie, another lovely photo of red sky at night! I love taking photos too and have quite a lot of sunsets. We have had some nice sunny days but quite frosty here up north in Cumbria! But it’s changing and forecast is for rain. I am very pleased I ordered the fleece bedding! You seem to like the cold Charlie! I don’t like it too cold and my house does not have central heating so it’s nice having warm bedding! Yes I will be watching the Acer TSV! I love watching the IT programmes as well as jewellery. I missed seeing the Zumba with Dale and Sally dancing, I hope it’s shown again! I think you should have a go as well! I love dancing. Well cheerio for now, Christine xx

    Hello Rebecca
Congratulations on your first Charlie Bear. They are fabulous aren’t they. I haven’t seen the Kings Speech yet. Funnily enough, my Dad has, despite not owning it on DVD or going to the cinema for 20 years! He saw it on a flight back from Australia. He says it’s amazing. I’ll be sure to watch it on DVD soon.
    Take care

Hi Charlie, Hope that shed roof is up now!!
Especially with the rain we had today, and more to come.
Have you seen the stage production of War Horse? Spielberg got his inspiration for the film after seeing the play.
Anyway, enjoyed reading your blog news.
    Keep up the good work.
    Take care Gillian x

Hi Charlie, my windows at home are all double glazed now but I have a photo of a lovely pattern of frost taken from the inside of my bedroom from years ago! Also I had plant cuttings in water on the window ledge and a layer of ice was on the top! The fleece bedding is gorgeous and warm, I cant wait for it to come back on again! I have asked they bring it back in pink. The heather is a lovely colour too which I bought. Have you ever been to the Ice Bar in London?! I’ve been in, you wear special clothes with a furry hood and can have a cocktail which I did, though I think I should have asked for a cup of tea which would have been better. The glasses are blocks of ice too! I took photos. Take care, cheers, Christine xx
