A busy half term and double the mischief!

Coastal walkHello!

What a busy week, off work, it's been. We've had a fabulous time.

I spent a few days with my family in Portland in Dorset. The weather was wild and windy at times and so invigorating. We had some wonderful coastal walks, often ending up at the Lobster Pot, next to Portland Bill lighthouse, for a delicious lunch followed by their amazing homemade scones!

Portland Bill lighthouseWhilst there we met up with some old friends and whiled away a couple of hours reminiscing about our childhood days, much to the amusement of my children, who refer to them as 'the olden days' – when mobile phones were a mere dream!

We came home at the weekend thoroughly refreshed and relaxed and did a spot of indoor climbing to round off the week nicely.

Ok, Double Mischief! I mentioned in my last blog our exciting quest for a Cairn terrier puppy. Thanks again for your replies last week. Well, we are no longer getting a puppy; we are, in fact, getting puppies! Two of them.

We are so very, very excited. They are divine little characters and we pick them up next week. We are almost decided on names… I think! I'll let you know when it's definite!

We're reading lots of books and receiving plenty of good advice (special thanks to Alison Young and Miceal!) if there's any wisdom you can pass on when caring for and training Cairns I'd love to hear from you.

We have a gorgeous picture which I'll pop on my blog next week.

Take care and see you soon

Charlie x (and very soon… two wagging tails!)

    Hi Charlie
Have owned several Cairn Terriers, and they are, as you so rightly said, gorgeous little chaps! {Or chapesses, if that’s what you’re getting!}. No real ‘advice’ as such; just to love them as much as you can … although I think that’ll come with the package!

Hello Patricia…. Wow! Six spaniels. They must keep you busy and very entertained! My sister has a spaniel who is adorable… and very mischievous! I’m really excited at the prospect of two, I agree they’ll be good companions for each other.
Take care and thanks for getting in touch.
