A belated New Year to you all!

I hope you all entered 2012 in good health and spirit!
For all of you who kindly sent Christmas or birthday cards into me, I have endeavoured to reply to all of you who included your addresses – if you chose not to, can I thank you now for your kind wishes.
Well, now we're all back into the full swing of life and into a new exciting year, it's time to look at how realistic our New Year's resolutions were. It's usually around this time that I say to myself 'who were you kidding Franklin, when you made that one!!' I don't think I'm alone, am I?

For that reason I decided to just stay with the usual ones – lose a bit of weight, tone up again, stop saying 'beautiful' so much (Hazel!) and the best one of all – learn to speak Italian. It crops up every year and every year I make a well intentioned start and that's as far as it gets.
I will definitely 'tone up' this year. Some of you may remember a couple of years ago I went on a huge fitness binge and lost 2½ stone and was as fit as when I used to row competitively at College (row, as in a racing boat, not with my wife). Then I squashed a disc in my back and had to stop. I'm fine now but I carried on eating as if I was working out and we all know the rest…
So, what are your resolutions this year? I know some are going to be personal and you may not want to share, but I'd love to hear them otherwise.
Remember that you are far more likely to follow them through if you.ve put them down in writing, albeit on the blog of a nosey shopping TV presenter!
Oh, did I forget to also add that I will try to blog 'once a week' there? I've put it down in writing – let's put the theory to the test!
Take care and stay in touch,
Dale. x.

Happy New Year to you and your family Dale
Not really made a new year resolution but I suppose it could be to enjoy therapy ——— retail therapy of course and QVC can be there to help support and guide me.
    Love Cheryl xx

Hi Martin, Good to hear from you again, glad you had a great family Xmas. Cheryl, Retail Therapy sounds ideal and I hope we support and guide you to your satisfaction ! Gillian, what can I say? Ooooops ! seems appropriate. I’ve always thought it would be great to time travel – But forwards or backwards? hmmm, not sure, I can see dangers in both. Thanks to all for comments, as usual. Dale x

Hi Dale, unlike your good self I haven’t yet entered into 2012, but when I do I hope I am in good health and spirit, ha ha. A deliberate mistake I’m sure just to keep us on our toes.
I’ve no resolutions Dale; just to keep on breathing really. That’s good enough for me.
Nice to hear from you and hope you can manage to blog each week as it’s nice to hear from all the presenters (although ten bob says you don’t keep it up!!!!). It’s the time factor Dale, we understand really but please try to blog as often as you can. We can’t ask for more. The time factor prevents me from replying to all you presenters, but I’m fond of you all, even the miserable ones who don’t bother to answer!!!! Speak as you find, that’s me.
You look lovely as you are so don’t worry about your weight. Everyone these days seems to be obsessed about how they look.
A Happy New Year to you and your family, including the very handsome Toby.
    Regards, Gail xx

    Hi Dale.
It was lovely to meet you at the Beauty Bash last week. You are soooooooooo handsome! Thanks for being so nice to me about the Calendar thing. I do believe QVC had already thought about it and it’s so much nicer being friends with QVC.

Gail you’re right – will you take a cheque? Mrs B – Yes I know – Doh! Marian I’m blushing! Great to meet you and who knows if we’ll ever be brave enough to do “that” Calendar! Even for Charity! x
