Fashion is looking fantastic on QVC! Let me list some of what’s coming up…
We start our next Fashion Week this Friday, 17th February, with an 8pm runway show every evening until Tuesday.
Monday/Tuesday 20th/21st will be our 48 hour Spring Fashion Event featuring Today’s Special Values from Women with Control My Wonder jeans and MarlaWynne. We’ll be showcasing the newest fashion from many of our favourite designers.
Before that, our latest premiere show will be the launch of amazing high street shoe brand Ravel at 8pm on Monday 13th, part of our four hour ‘Fashion’s Night In’.
Jackie is looking forward to co-hosting our first hour with Ruth Langsford, best known as presenter on This Morning and Loose Women, but soon to be star of ‘Ruth Langsford’s Fashion Edit’ on QVC, a six week series at 9pm on Thursdays from 16th February. Ruth will show us her favourite picks from the entire QVC Fashion department. As Jackie writes in her blog, Ruth has impeccable taste so we hope you’ll love her choices as much as we do!
And finally, last but hopefully not least, a new series of Morning Style with Kathy Tayler (yes, that’s me!) is starting on Wednesday 15th. The show differs from many other QVC fashion shows in that, rather than focussing on just one designer, we select items from across the entire QVC wardrobe and show how they can work together. The great news is that everything in the first show will be available in three easy payments, helping you to spread the cost over a couple of months. We’ll be featuring outfits put together by our stylist Monia, who is French and always looks immaculate – I’m hoping some of her style might rub off on me! Monia has created some gorgeous looks for our first show, building outfits around hero garments that will hopefully work with what you already have in your wardrobe.
In the above photo I’m wearing a lovely lightweight kimono sleeve jumper from MarlaWynne under a moto-style jacket from H by Halston. The jewellery is all (except my Pilgrim watch) from a new range called Fornash which will be featured in the Lunchtime Show on Wednesday 22nd Feb and will have its full launch in the 9pm Jewellery Must Haves show on the same day. The necklace is a dual purpose piece that is also a spectacles/sunglasses holder – clever!
I’m delighted that I’ll be joined on Wednesday by fashion expert Glen Campbell to talk us through each look. Of course, Glen is the face for outerwear range Centigrade so we’ll have a few spring coats too – including from a brand new name, D.E.T.A.I.L.S., with a funky hooded rain jacket featuring a stripy lining, for under £40.
I’m hoping that you might be encouraged to try out a style you haven’t felt confident enough to wear before. I had a lovely Twitter message from a viewer called Theresa who tweeted ‘through your show last year, at 66, I bought printed trousers and loved so who knows what it will be in 2017 x’
Who knows indeed…? Not you, if you don’t join us on Wednesday at 10am. I hope you do!
Until then, best wishes and take care
