Pipa Gordon with dog

The most beautiful time of the year!

14

Hi there friends,

collage-one

I know we are piling toward Christmas at a pace but I have to say, I’m hanging on to Autumn at the same time as some years we seem to go straight from “summer”, headlong into winter and we somehow circumnavigate what is usually the most beautiful season and boy it’s gorgeous this year, I’m loving it!

Pipa Gordon and Joe Browns jacket

So after a lovely Sunday lunch this weekend, we took the dog for a short walk… long walks are strictly forbidden at the moment as poor Tynor has terrible arthritis in his joints which is just awful for him. He’s managing ever so well although you’d be forgiven for thinking he is feeling grumpy in this pic as he’s not the most willing of models! I don’t think the supplements are working so physio is next and hopefully that will help. Now, I know you’re going to ask, the fabulous jacket I’m wearing in these pics is on air on Monday at 1pm during the Joe Browns hour (it’s actually called the Fabulous jacket too!!). I’d order it asap if you like the look of it, it’s so reasonably priced. It’s fully lined and I’ve lived in it all weekend from going on walks to shopping with my daughter, to the pub for lunch… it’s been everywhere with me and I’ve had soooo many comments about it!

Pipa Gordon L'Occitane

Putting the virtues of autumn aside, I cannot ignore the fact that Christmas is indeed on its way and I have to say I’m beginning to look forward to it, our Christmas lights get turned on this Thursday at which point it will be full steam ahead! Like you, I am watching out for some goodies at QVC and these L’Occitane crackers are full of mini hand creams so will make perfect gifts for anyone in your life; teachers, babysitters, people who help with shopping, errands, dog walking, school runs, colleagues in the office, etc etc oh and btw, the black top  I’m wearing is another Joe Browns piece, I’ve a feeling it’s going to be a busy show, and there’s menswear too!

Pipa Gordon with L'Occitane

If you really want an indulgent treat for someone though, I will be launching the L’Occitane Christmas Today’s Special Value this Saturday night and I have no doubt that it will be a sure fire hit for anyone! It’s not the only choice of course, there’s lots to look forwards to so if you’re up for a late one, (I can’t remember when I last was on air that late!!), please join both me and Alexis on Saturday night at Midnight.

In the meantime, I hope to catch you on air, on Twitter, here or elsewhere!

Much love,

Pipa x

    Hi Pipa
What lovely photographs, you look so well and very happy. Great to get the heads up on the TSV, helps with the planning! Ah so sad when the doggy’s legs give out, old age comes to us all. Keep happy and smiling as you do great to hear all your news!

Hi Jill, thanks for your message. I think you’re right, planning is key isn’t it? I’ve taken to planning meals of late too, they get written up on the French doors in chalk pens on Sunday so I don’t have to think too much when it comes to each busy day through the week, I can just get on with it! xx

Hi pip, so sad about your poor doggy! Mine too has problems, his bad a big opp this year he has just recovered now the other knee has gone its cruciate ligament so goes in 13th December for operation! Try umove, it’s good.x

Oh bless him Sue, I hope the op goes well. It’s rubbish to see them go through it, more so sometimes as I feel I can’t explain it to him and he can’t tell me when it hurts. I had been using Greenleaf as my grandmother always swore by it for her dogs but then he just got worse and the vet’s ones don’t seem to have done much either so I’ll take a look at Umove, thank you xx

Hi Pipa looking forward TSV L’Occitane on Sunday. We had a golden Labrador she had arthritis is a shame. We used to get oil like cod liver oil but for dogs it helped a little bit. Look smart in the jacket.

    Take care x

Hi Christine, when I was growing up we had a golden retriever who also ended up with arthritis, old age is rotten isn’t it? Thanks for your message, hope you are well xx

    Dear Pipa
l won’t spout faith but if you are open to Christian spiritual healing
your local area should uncover an animal spiritual healer within
a church community although not necessarily so.Trust me
it works on all species as does absent healing .
    Take care x

I absolutely adore all of the products in the Shea butter range from L’Occitane – especially the Ultra Rich Hand Wash – how disappointing not to see this beautiful range done in the TSV – I would have bought without hesitation – however my boys and I do not use anything else. We are so sad that the TSV is not for us once again.

The TSV should be Floral, Fresh, Warm and Rich.

I would also like to see the Ultra Rich Hand Wash in a refillable pouch – it really is about time. I ask the staff countless times in my L’Occitane boutique to put this forward as a recommendation – I am still waiting – way too long!! come on I am sure I am not the only one who would absolutely love to see this!!!

Oh Samantha thanks for your message. We are huge Bonne Mere liquid soap lovers and that was discontinued a couple of years ago completely so I hear your pain!! I shall pass your comments on to Alexis and our buyers. Best wishes, Pipa xx
