Hi there, thanks for taking the time to read my blog.
This past week has been a funny mix of work, play and home improvement! We have had the same inherited carpets in our house ever since we moved in over 7 years ago! They were pretty grim I have to admit, and no amount of steaming, shampooing or vacuuming could save them. They have bothered me for such a long time but every time we managed to save some money to sort them out ’something’ would crop up. Like the time the car needed a complete engine rebuild or the time we had another baby, haha! So finally we decided to go for it and get new wood floors (well they look like wood but they are actually laminate!)
The house was turned upside down for the week but it was worth it. I’m so happy with them and it’s made such a big difference to our little house. It’s amazing what a difference it makes. The kids are loving skidding along the floor, however Fred I think is missing having carpet a little so I am keeping an eye out for a new rug from the collection available from QVC so he can have that under his feet by the sofa!!
Last Friday night was an exciting one for me. I have blogged before about the parenting website/blog, which I make with one of my best friends Anna, called Hey Mummy. Well earlier this year we were nominated for a MAD Blog Award in the video category (MAD stands for Mummy and Daddy). So on Friday we got all dolled up and joined all the other nominees and some of our lovely friends that we know through Channel Mum (our sponsors) at the Royal Garden Hotel in Kensington for a night of champagne, dinner and awards.
I wore one of my favourite dresses from QVC which is by Onjenu – it’s no longer available in the short version but we do still have the longer version which is stunning. It’s on ‘last clicks price’ so grab one for the festive season!
We didn’t win but we did get to present an award to one of our fellow vlogging friends, which was a real honour.
So what’s happening at QVC? Well we have even more Premier Shows coming up and I’m really excited to be presenting one of them. This Saturday 24th at 6pm we have an hour with brand new Chamilia charms and jewellery.
It’s a range of beautiful interchangeable pieces that includes beads, bracelets, charms and locks along with necklaces and earrings. You can mix in pieces that include Swarovski, leather or Murano glass and even birthstones and zodiac symbols which is a wonderful way to personalise a gift.
