Getting excited for the Lakeland launch

Hi all,

I just wanted to let you know about something exciting happening next week – Lakeland is coming to QVC, and I’ll be presenting its very first show on Wednesday 24th at 7pm!

With over 50 years experience, the company offers a fabulous collection of creative kitchenware, practical ideas for the home and garden, and inspiring gifts from all over the world. This first show will showcase the very best of Lakeland across the kitchen and household categories, bringing fantastic value sets exclusively for us at QVC.

If you’re a home baker you will LOVE the baking set we are bringing you, as well as a brilliant kit for making your own jams and preserves. But I’ve been trying two other items from the show at home – first, the Dry Soon heated clothes dryer. What a great idea – a fold out airer which you can adjust to a number of different sizes, and which plugs in and heats up! Brilliant if you don’t have anywhere to hang washing outside, or if you don’t have a tumble dryer.

It also comes with two mesh shelves which sit on the airer, giving a flat surface for delicates like underwear or for items which need to be dried flat. And it has a cover to retain heat for speedier drying, with zips so you can access your clothes easily if you need to. The cover also acts as a dust cover when the dryer is folded and not in use. I love this and I think it’s going to be VERY popular.

I also love food – even though I’m a rubbish cook – so I was rather pleased to be given the Grand Remoska to try too. It’s basically an electric mini-oven with a lid, perfect for one-pot cooking and ideal if you have a smaller kitchen or just want to save energy. It would also be great if you have a caravan. It comes with a superb recipe book too. Wanting to put it through its paces, I challenged my hubby to cook our dinner in it. The meal was delicious! Lemon sole with lemon butter, plus asparagus, all cooked in the Grand Remoska as you can see in the video below.

So do join us on Wednesday at 7pm. I’ll have two guests with me – Wendy Miranda, who works closely with Lakeland customers and whose face you may recognise from the Lakeland catalogues if you’re already a customer, and TV chef Stacie Stewart, who was a Masterchef finalist and now pops up on many TV shows including This Morning. It’s going to be a fun hour!

Hi Jackie, I had a Remoska given to me as a present around 15 years ago, it is fabulous and wouldn’t be without it. Not only does it save money on electricity, it produces mouth watering food. Today I’m roasting chicken thighs in the Remoska they take about 40 minutes and the meat will be succulent.

I too have had a grand remoska for many years, a wonderful invention. I’m not a great cook but this does make it easy for you. Great to hear Lakeland is coming to QVC.
