A lovely mixed week

3

This week has been a lovely mix of QVC, filming for Channel Mum and days out with the kids.

On Wednesday I headed to Chesham, a very pretty town, where a group of my fellow Channel Mum Vloggers would be filming a YouTube video on ‘Frozen versus Fresh’. I love the fact that my hobby of ‘Vlogging’ (video blogging) has lead to getting to know so many other fabulous mums and fellow YouTubers. Channel Mum is a network of mums who make videos on their parenting journeys and share all their favourite products and tips along the way. We had a lovely day and of course a good gossip and a giggle. I always try and wear something nice and bright when filming so my Nina Leonard top was perfect. Keep an eye out on my blog Hey Mummy to see the finished video.IMG_2826

My husband, myself and our girls have been staying at my parents house this week and as I had a day between shows at QVC it made sense to stick around rather than go back to the coast. This meant we could go and enjoy some of the near-by amusements for the kids. We headed to one of my favourite places, Hampton Court. I grew up in Hampton so it brings back many memories for me. There is now a kids ‘Magic Garden’ there and I thought it would be right up my girls street.

I sometimes wonder what Henry VIII would make of all the added entertainment that goes on in his old Palace! If you are ever in the area it’s worth a visit if you have young kids.

IMG_2969The girls loved it – there’s costumes, sand, water, climbing frames, mystical sculptures and a Tudor theme throughout.

I wore these Spanx leggings, and they were perfect for chasing my girls around while keeping me feeling like I was looking in shape!

I’ve also been very lucky to have been getting a chance to try out loads of the nail colours from Debborah Lippman. I love bright, vibrant colours and this range doesn’t disappoint.

I am still growing out my nails due to the mess I made of them from using long wear nail polishes so I was really excited to try the Gel Lab Pro which is a healthy alternative to Gel Polish. I’ve also been using the cuticle treatments and oils to help get them back to looking healthy.

I have been wearing the same Gel Lab Pro colour on my toes (‘Great Balls of Fire’) for nearly two weeks and it still looks great. You can just about see it in the picture with my girls on the throne!

IMG_2840I have been swapping the colour on my nails most days though as I want to try out all the colours.

I even let Tilda have a play with them with me. I had to, as the moment she saw the ‘Pretty in Pink’ collection, she squealed with delight and begged to have a bit of mummy-daughter girly nail play.

You may have spotted me wearing some of the other colours on air too, I’ve tried the purple (‘Afternoon Delight’), turquoise (Splish Splash), peach (Happy Days) and my absolute favourite is the blue (My Boyfriend’s Back’).

It’s the first time I’ve worn this type of shade and I really love it. You can join me for an hour of this fabulous brand from the US on Tuesday at 12pm to snap up all these lovely colours and nail treatments.

Hope you can join me on QVC this week, do let me know what you’ve been buying and let me know what have you been up to?

Hi Katy, Lovely to see you & your girls enjoying your day out.
I look forward to watching your show with Deborah Lippmann nail varnish as my nails are in a mess having had two lots of shellac nail varnish. My nails have all split horizontally well below the wicks. So any products to strengthen & help repair them & then make them look glamorous again will be more than welcome.
    Thank you Katy
    Tanya xx

Hi Tanya, just realised my reply didn’t reply to you directly! Here it is again incase you didn’t see it! x

Hi Tanya, I hope you can get your nails back on track. I have exactly the same problem. I’m using plenty of the QVC nail repair oils and treatments. I do hope I can grow out the flaky ends and splits! Did you get anything from the Deborah Lippmann show for your nails? Let me know how they’re going….growing haha! X
