Just wanted to catch up as June is in danger of running away with me. We have been very busy over the last few months fundraising with my daughter’s dance school to raise funds for the Dance World Cup, and after a successful campaign we are off to the World Dance Championships at the end of this month!
My daughter Cassidy was so excited to be selected to compete as part of the England team, and her school have given their permission for her to have the week off to compete for the country, which really is a huge honour. The championships are being held in Jersey and I have taken the week off from my studio schedule at QVC to be with her throughout the competition.
I didn’t realise just how big the competition is. There are 36 countries competing, including Australia, the United States and even Japan and China! All-in-all they are expecting around 18,000 children to take part, so I’ll let you know how it goes. I’m hoping the weather in Jersey will be lovely and I’ll definitely be packing my Ultrasun, so with a bit of luck we’ll get some time on the beach between performances and the schoolwork that needs to be done while we are away – I hope it’s not maths!
Meanwhile I hope you are all enjoying Beauty Month, especially the Elemis Beauty Pick of the Month, which I can highly recommend. It’s a brand new facial product, which is a complex Superfood Facial Oil that goes under your daily moisturiser. It makes so much sense to me, with all the press regarding the benefits of superfoods, to have these in an oil to apply topically to the skin.
It smells amazing – it really smells like it is doing you good – and it has boosted my skin, which was looking a little dull and gloomy after the winter; it now appears to have much more radiance so I’m incredibly pleased with the results.
Now would be the ideal time to try the Elemis Superfood Facial Oil, as not only is it a great time of year to step up your skincare but it’s also currently at Introductory Price and, it being Beauty Pick of the Month means free postage and packaging too – yippee!
Give it a try and let me know what you think!
Enjoy Beauty Month,
